Fan wobble is not from balance but from uneven blade angle
if one blade is bent higher than the others or if one blade is twisted more than the other wobble will result
If you assembled the blades onto the fan motor
make sure that the mounting points are not hung up on the body ridge
next using a tape measure at one position measure the blade tips from the floor or ceiling and bend the other blades up or down until they are all the same distance
Hold the tape steady and turn the fan by hand
next at the same point measure the difference between the front and rear of a blade and make sure all of the others have the same measurement

SOURCE: TRying to balance ceiling fan but there is only

Ballancing a ceiling fan is a trial and error situation. you can use the clip and place it on each blade untill you get the quietest opperation. Then you use the stick on weights and remove the clip. First make sure that the fan is solidly mounted . If the fan is loose , all your adjustment will be useless. You may have to go thru the process of applying the clip and wieghts a couple times to get the fan correctly ballanced

If your blades are warped or a blade holder is bent a little, then you won't be able to balance the fan. You would need to replace the blades or holders. That is a low-end store brand fan for Home Depot! You get what you pay for.

My ceiling fan "wobbles" when turned on. How do you fix that?

Make sure ALL screws are tight, especially the set screws. Make sure the hanging bracket is tight against fan box. If your blade arms are bent, then you need a new set. Make sure blades are not warped. Other than that you can try a balancing kit as long as it's not that last two problems listed. This happens a lot with low-end store brand fans.

The fan wobbles cause you bought a crappy Harbor Breeze or Hampton Bay fan. The fan blades need to be balanced with a fan balance kit that comes in the box. You probably threw it out cause you didn't know what the package of weights was for. Get you a Hunter ceiling fan and you won't have an issue with fan wobble, because their fans have better quality control before leaving the factory. If you installed the fan without adequate bracket support- you best get a pro to help you out cause there is no fan wobble help for stupidity.

The blades are out of balance. You need to add weight to the lighter weight blades to is turns smoothly with no wobble.
You can go to Home Depot or other home improvement store and buy a fan balancing kit for around $2. It will have instructions.

After installation the whole fan wobbles. it is standard installation

The most important thing about installing a ceiling fan is to use the proper ceiling box, one that is approved and very firmly fastened to the ceiling joists. If this is not done and the fan is only attached to an existing ceiling box, it may end up being out of balance and wobbling, not to mention being very dangerous.

Ceiling fan wobbling

put a piece of masking tape on each blade and number them.while you're up there check that mounting screws are tight.switch position of blades,i.e. move #1to #3,see if it's better or worse;switch #2 & #4 or#4 &#6 etc. until you find the combination giving you the best 'balance'

does the fan wobble at high speed? if so change the order of the blades to try & balance it.i.e. number the blades on a piece of tape on each--switch blade # 1 & #3-better or worse? 2&5;better or worse?etc. untill it runs smoothest.
