Question about Hunter Ceiling Fan Remote Transmitter 85095-01
The remote will change fan speed, but will only change light from dim to bright. Tried to change the different combonations on the remote setting with no luck. Could the fan and light be wired wrong.
I had this exact problem. I bought two Home Decorator fans from Home Depot and installed them in separate rooms in my house. They have LED lights. I know for a fact that I wired them right because the model fan in Home Depot fan was wired the same and my remote worked perfectly with that fan. Both fans at my house had the same issue of the light not turning all the way off but dimming worked and fan speeds worked. LONG story short, I had another fan in the Master Bedroom that was turned on. When I turned the power to that fan off (wall switch toggled to off), both of the new fans worked!!! Now I need to figure out how to wire the Master bedroom fan correctly (9 wires in one box) but at least I know what the issue was!

You will most likely need to replace the receiver with a new one from hunter. The receiver is actually a complete controller and contains the receiver, relays (which you hear clicking) and starting condensors(large capacitors which hold a charge that is "dumped" over the windings to get the motor to start from a dead stop). These appear to be pretty tightly assembled unless you have a desire to start replacing parts "off the board."

Many times this is caused by stray frequencies in the neighborhood. And, sometimes changing the frequencies on the remote and receiver reduce the occurrence.
But it sounds like this may not be the case, here. If not, the receiver in the fan is the culprit and should be replaced. No danger, just annoying.

SOURCE: light s blinking on and off
Receiver for remote control of light goes bad over time. If you are competent with electrical wiring you can bypass this
defective component. Take the light kit off (3 screws) and unplug the
modular plug. Trace wires from lights back to a small box in the
light kit containing electronic components (you can see circuit board,
capacitors etc - in my case this was part # 98480-02). This is what you will
be bypassing or replacing. In my case the fan did not come with a
remote, so I removed & bypassed this box. (white wire to white, red
wire to black. Light now works fine, no blinking.

it also could be one of the the jumpers fell out of the remote
they are located just above the battery. you will need to match the placement of the jumpers with the receiver mounted in the fan.

I checked out how it is wired and itis wired correct. The remote sensor just clips into the fan as it comes from the factory. I changed the Dip switches to new settings and still the same results. All the fan operations are correct except the light will not turn off. In order for us to run the fan without the lights on we must remove the bulbs... Good night!
