Hunter celling fan remote control part number 99600 blue light stays on.never powers off and the remote does not work
Hi there, I researched into this problem for you.
Did you try...
1) Remove/replace the batteries
2) Check the dip switch settings are the same both on the remote and the receiver. Did the dip switches get changed on the remote recently?
3) Replace the remote
4) If replacing the remote does not work, you will need to try replacing the remote and the receiver with a universal replacement kit
Here is an article that will walk you through troubleshooting, there is also a video I found on this page that should be helpful for you:

The remote control could also be malfunctioning. Try replacing the batteries and if that does not work, try another remote control. If neither of those solutions fix the problem, then there is most likely something wrong with the fan itself and it will need to be repaired or replaced.

If your Hunter fan remote control 99600 is not working, there could be several possible reasons. Here are a few things you might try to troubleshoot the issue:
Replace the batteries: The first thing to check is the batteries in the remote. If the batteries are low or dead, the remote may not function properly. Replace the batteries with fresh ones to see if that resolves the issue.
Check the range: Make sure that the remote is within range of the fan. The maximum range of the remote may vary depending on the model of the fan, so consult the manufacturer's instructions for more information.
Check the dip switches: Most Hunter fan remotes have dip switches that need to be set in the same position as the dip switches on the fan's receiver. Make sure that the dip switches on both the remote and the receiver are set to the same position.
Check for interference: Other electronic devices or appliances, such as cell phones or Wi-Fi routers, can sometimes interfere with the signal from the remote. Try moving the remote or the fan to a different location to see if that resolves the issue.
Check the receiver: If the remote and the dip switches are functioning properly, the issue could be with the receiver in the fan. Consult the manufacturer's instructions or a qualified repair technician for assistance in troubleshooting the receiver.
I hope these suggestions help to resolve the issue with your Hunter fan remote control 99600. If you are still experiencing problems
Not sure if I’m missing something here or what, but my blue light was staying on, and my remote wouldn’t work. I simply replaced the battery in the remote - problem solved.
This must be a common problem, since I Googled the part number and it popped up before I completed the number. I am going to have to order a new remote, since I don't have a solder pen. Wish me luck.
Ok too bad so sad light stays on..nothing you can do just throw it in a garbage can...Remove that big rectangular box from the top Mount above the fan then you can use the chains manually...But if you still wanna do it with a remote then buy a new remote with matching brain.. looks like rectangular box or buy a new set in a box and save all the light/fan fixtures and parts for later use...

I'll guess and say that the fan quit working properly shortly after either a power surge in your house of after a light burnt out after turning them on. It has happened several times to the two Hunter fans we have here, both with the wireless remote control. After having both replaced under warranty, and then paying for a replacement, I finally took the receiver apart and found the root cause. There is a power regulator (looks like a power transistor) that uses the aluminum portion on the housing as a heat sink. The part is easy to replace for those of you who are handy with a soldering pencil. For those of you who are not, I'm sure you know of someone who is. Now for the good and bad news. The good news? The replacement part is about a dollar from an electronics supply house called Mouser. I tried Radio Shack, but they have really cut back on electronic components. The bad news? I can't remember the part number. I have a spare one, but I can't find it right now. I will look for it and if need be, I'll open up the receiver and get the number off of it and post back to this thread. After replacing the part in both a little over six months ago, we have had no problems with the receivers. Voltage spikes no longer take out the regulator.

it also could be one of the the jumpers fell out of the remote
they are located just above the battery. you will need to match the placement of the jumpers with the receiver mounted in the fan.

There is a battery in the hand held remote and another battery in the receiver which gets tucked into the ceiling mount cover. Remove the ceiling cover and you will see the battery there, usually a 12 volt battery.
The upp/down slide is a dimmer.
In the event that changing the batteries doesn't solve your problems, Hunter makes replacement remote sets, available at Home Depot, lowes, etc and usually around twenty dollars.

You will most likely need to replace the receiver with a new one from hunter. The receiver is actually a complete controller and contains the receiver, relays (which you hear clicking) and starting condensors(large capacitors which hold a charge that is "dumped" over the windings to get the motor to start from a dead stop). These appear to be pretty tightly assembled unless you have a desire to start replacing parts "off the board."
