My tv stays on for a few minutes and then just turns off. The red power button flashes and I can't turn it back on. I have to leave it for some time before it turns on again and it just does the same thing over and over. Please help me.

I've contacted LG more than once and they can only direct me to certified repair places near my location. Unfortunately this problem happened about two months after my warranty was up, go figure. Now it is at the point where I plug the power cord into the tv and the red light flashes once or twice and then just goes dead. Unfortunately I believe it will cost a few hundred dollars to fix, a real shame when it cost me 2600 to begin with. Just a real crappy feeling.

When turning on tv. screen will display Bravia image & then go blank. red light flashes SIX times

Power off the television. Wait a few minutes, then power it back on. If this does not correct the issue leave the power on, point your remote control towards the Sony television and hold the down arrow button. While holding the down arrow button press the "Power" button. Release the down arrow button and the Sony TVicon1.png will reset itself to factory settings. Once the television performs a scan on itself your problem should be gone.

TV turns itself off, then on automaticlly

The fan should run for a few minutes after shut off to cool the lamp down.

If I read and understand correctly somewhere in the cycle you are getting 5 red blinks? that is an error code........

Either you or I can Google the model number of the set with 5 blinks.....or visit the Sony site to see what it means.....

this is a common issue i think. below steps solved this issue for an user.

-Press power off or leave with standby light on for 5 minutes (wait the full 5 minutes)
-Unplug TV / Press top buttons 5 times each to remove static from system boards (yes, each button 5 times each)
-Wait one full minute and plug TV in and press power on
