Im working on a Lexmark C510 printer. The first error was the main motor assy unit, gear was damaged, i change it. Now i am having a 994 service engine error. I change the engine board, controller board, the photo d and the sensor. The error still happens. The 2 main motors work for like a few seconds and then just cuts off.

Hi, The error 995 refers to a problem with the High Voltage Power Supply. This could mean three things one is that the Photodeveloper cartridge is damaged and needs to be replaced. The second one could be a problem with the High Volt Power Supply not providing enough charge to the Photodev. The third thing could be that the Engine Board is damaged causing the error in the display. You can try to reset the Photodev by pulling it out and the seating it back in the printer.

Is this error on a C510?, because the manual lists 994 as OPC belt marker sensor error.
Normally with an engine service error i reflash the engine firmware first, if that doesn't cure the fault i would then replace the engine board. If you need the firmware, visit the Lexmark site get the contact phone number for your region and ring them. They're normally quite helpful and of coarse can tell you how to reflash it.

994 Service Engine Error on a Lexmark C510
ID: ENUS21233
If your printer is unable to move the photodeveloper belt to the correct position during printing, a 994 error will occur. However, it may simply be the case that the photodeveloper is either contaminated with excess toner or improperly installed. To test for and resolve this issue, please do the following:
If necessary, carefully wipe any excess toner powder from the positioning markers using a soft, lint-free cloth or tissue.
While the top cover of the printer is still open, inspect the sensor that is used to locate the positioning markers on the belt. CAUTION! The photodeveloper is very sensitive to light. Cover the green metallic surface of the photodeveloper with a piece of paper while it is outside the printer.
Verify that the sensor has not come loose from its housing and that it is not contaminated with excess toner powder. If necessary, clean the sensor with a soft, lint-free cloth or tissue.
If the error remains, it is likely that a service call will be necessary to resolve this issue. Please contact Lexmark Technical Support, having first obtained the serial number of your printer. NOTE: If practicable, attempt to order another photodeveloper and replace it first to avoid the inconvenience of a potentially unnecessary service call.
