so if you have set a soak period then it will stay there until the soak period has finished
if it is sp and you have pressed pause/start extra time the machine is in pause mode until you press start again

pull the start button out for to put on the on position, then unplug it for a few minutes then plug back in, or u can try opening and closing the lid slightly 6 times with a 12 second period, should reset it

Washer keeps stopping during any cycle

the humming noise could be from two sources and it is worth while doing a few simple checks first the drain pump is jammed with a foreign object. check nothing caught in the impellor second water not available - check taps turned on. also turn water off, undo fill hoses, put in a bucket and turn water back on try on drain or spin programs to check water drainage as well
