My computer (PowerMac G4) doesn't communicate with my printer

Contacted Apple Support after installing new Leopard operating system.  Advised additional software installation, which I did.  Then I added the new drives for printers, including my HP.  My computer still did not communicate even though all software was installed successfully.  The tech suggested on buy and install a new USB cable for my printer.  He did not think it was the power cord.  When I pull the power cord and reconnect it, my HP printer (750 psc)  prints.  When I turn off the computer and restart, then I have to go through this process again.  Any suggestions, before I install the new USB cable?

Get an add-in USB PCI card.  My peripherals work on my G4.  These PCI cards will have 2.0 speed.

Can't installed leopard 10.5 on my ibook g4 from a DVD I download it on?

Purchase an 8GB (or larger) USB memory-stick.
On a different computer, copy the entire contents of the DVD onto the memory-stick. Connect the memory-stick to the Apple computer, and install from that media.

Upgrade for a 2005 apple mac desktop tiger 10.4

The highest you can get up to is leopard 10.5. Unfortunately, after 10.5 Apple moved to Intel getting rid of the powermac processors.

Depending on your specs I would recommend sticking with tiger, but leopard should run fin on your powermac. It runs great on mine.

Powermac screen developed fine black grid and won't operate properly

Isolate the problem to see if it's the screen or video card by connecting another monitor to the computer. Borrow a monitor from a neighbor, friend, relative or co-worker and connect it to the computer. If the Borrowed monitor displays ok without a problem then your original screen is bad and your video card is good. If the Borrowed monitor displays the same problems as your original then your video card inside the computer is bad.

I want to know master password, Because I forgot password of ibook G4.

Unfortunately, the only way to recover your password is to make a new one. To do this you will need to re-install your operating system by inserting the OS disc that came with your computer. If you have lost this then you will need to purchase an OS disc. Snow Leopard can be purchased for $40 here from Amazon.com. Hope this helped!

Sir i purchace an old ibook g4 but i an not get the password or cd how can i change the admistrative password

In order to change your admin password if you don't know it you will have to re-install your operating system. Without the CD that contains your operating system you'll need to purchase a new one from a near-by Apple Store or order one online. You can order the Snow Leopard operating system from Amazon for about $40 here (a standard 1 user account). Make sure to back up your important files on an external hard drive first though because this will clear your computer's hard drive. Hope this helped!

Not able to install system software

Leopard is not really suited for the iBook G4.  I would recommend you go back to Tiger and see if that gets rid of your lockup.  Leopard is more suitable for the Macbook.

My G4 powermac wont start up it got small icon of a file folder with a "?" and the "smiley apple face" flashing back and forth in the file folder icon. Even when i press my power button it keep doing all...

When your mac comes up with a folder with a "?", it means that you have either a corrupt operating system, or a missing operating system. This means that your MAC OS is broken, and needs to be re-installed. You will lose all the data on your machine, so if you have any information that is important to you, you should try to get that data off of your hard drive. If you dont know how, take it to any Apple certified technician (or anyone who is good with computers) and tell them that you need the information off of that hard drive.

Unable to upgrade to system leopard on my eMac

With software and computers changing constantly-I use older software for older macs. You will continuously run into problems dealing with new software and old computers. See if you can find older versions that still run great rather than the creative suite. Stick with earlier system software as well. Now days 640 for memory is not much because of the increase in software space use. You can also allocate memory to certain software you use most.

Need User or Owner's Manual for Mac PowerPC G4

Mac help is built into the operating system on your computer. There really aren't any paper manuals for them. Here is a link to Apple's web site that should get you started: http://www.apple.com/support/imac/g4/
