Question about Apple Powermac G4 Quicksilver Logic System Board 820-1342-b 630t-3827 630-3828
I have an Apple Powermac G4 Quicksilver Logic System. The screen suddenly developed a grid of fine black lines across it. When I tried to go to various sites it would ghost the sites and sort of wave colours, etc. I plugged it in to another feed and the screen was fine. It was suggested it was the video card. How do I find where this is? Any suggestions?
Isolate the problem to see if it's the screen or video card by connecting another monitor to the computer. Borrow a monitor from a neighbor, friend, relative or co-worker and connect it to the computer. If the Borrowed monitor displays ok without a problem then your original screen is bad and your video card is good. If the Borrowed monitor displays the same problems as your original then your video card inside the computer is bad.
