Pairing my samsung galaxy grand prime phone with my 2014 honda cr-v vehicle
I'm stuck - on my phone I get as far as the Bluetooth section; found available devices; tap on this to pair: confirmation passkey comes up; when I hit ok; it tells me that it is unable to pair due to incorrect PIN or password... very frustrating. Mary

Does the 2011 Grand Cherokee have bluetooth? Although newer vehicles often do, one that old may or may not. I will try to offer some basic info that assumes your vehicle does have bt. First go into Settings on your phone. Make sure Bluetooth is turned on. Within bluetooth settings find Pairing. Make sure your device is set to discoverable. If your vehicle does have bluetooth, you almost certainly have a screen with some sort of Settings or Setup option. In Setup there will probably be a selection for Phone or Bluetooth. Then select Paired Devices>Add Device and follow the on screen instructions. The owner manual should provide some guidance. If you cannot find any of this, your vehicle may not have bluetooth. All is not lost, though. For $20-$40 you can purchase a bluetooth adapter of some sort that will allow you to add bluetooth. Some are standalone, ie, have their own little speaker, while others plug into your AUX port and use the vehicle speakers. I purchased one of the latter for my daughter, and it seems to be working well for her. Regardless, the process of connecting (pairing) any two bluetooth devices is more or less the same.
In order to connect your tracfone with the 2016 Honda CR-V via Bluetooth, then just follow the list of directions as given below,
1.Press and hold DISP to go to the Settings screen.
2.Select Phone Settings.
3.Select Bluetooth Device List (if no phone has been paired) or Connect Phone (if pairing an additional phone).
4.Select Add Bluetooth Device.
5.Make sure your phone is in discovery mode and select OK.
6.HFL searches for your phone. Select your phone when it appears on the list.
If your phone does not appear: Select Phone Not Found and search for HandsFreeLink from your phone.
7.HFL gives you a six-digit code. Compare it to the code that appears on your phone. Connect to HFL from your phone.
8.The system asks if you want to enable Phone Synchronization. Select On to automatically import contacts and call history

First, I just want to let you know that you are not the first person that had problems connecting a Samsung device to vehicle sound system using bluetooth.
Many car decks on the market are not compatible with newer phones on the market from when it was produced from the manufacturer.. Meaning, if the car deck is manufactured by the car maker (like Honda, or other), ask the Dealer if there is an update for your deck so that it will be bluetooth compatible with your particular Samsung phone.
But, since you said you have a Kenwood, you can update the firmware of the car deck yourself, so that it will be compatible with newer phones.
You probably can't because it looks like it does not have Bluetooth. If I am wrong and it does, look in the phones settings menu for Bluetooth pairing.
Any phone with bluetooth will more than likely be able to pair with a vehicle that is bluetooth enabled. Most vehicles do not require a specific phone, they simply require a bluetooth connection.
I'm sorry buddy because there is no way for your phone to pair up with
other BT capable phones because eventhough the phone has bluetooth, it
is only capable of pairing up with a bluetooth carkit & bluetooth
headset.
The SGH-A177 does not have a File transfer profile (FTP) under the bluetooth profiles that ur phone is supporting.
U
need to have another higher model but call Samsung first to inquire if
the other Samsung phone you want to buy has a file transfer profile.
