Peter
you are too short on details like make model , 2 stroke or 4 stroke
read your user manual or look on the petrol cap as most have the ratio on the bowser emblem
so for an answer, it is most likely a 2 stroke and so-- yes-- it will require a oil/fuel mix in the tank
if you do not know it , start with a ratio of 40:1 ( 40 fuel -1 oil) and only use 2 stroke oil not normal engine oil
run at rpms and there should be a trace of blue smoke
too much smoke cut the oil back to 50:1 and no smoke increase the oil to 30:1
go google and type in user manual for ( make and model ) --and the ratio will be in that print put

Do i mix oil with the gas for a trail boss 250

Is the engine a two-cycle or four-cycle? A two-cycle engine requires oil to be mixed with the fuel to lubricate the piston/rings/crankshaft/rod top and bottom bearing/main bearings.
A four-cycle doesn't require it. (A four cycle has valves in the head)

Do i use straight gas or do i have to mix it.

I'm sure you must use mixed gas. Some newer engines require very lean mixture 100:1 and too rich it may not even run 40:1 . So you may require someone with specific knowlage of your model

Do i mix the gas or use straight gas

The answer is that ALL 2-stroke engines requires that you mix oil with the gas. ALL 4-stroke engines do not take oil in the gas. So the simple answer is if there is no place to add oil, then you have to mix oil in the gas - not the same kind of oil though! I don't know this particular model, but I have never seen a 4-stroke wearable leaf-blower. The kind on wheels could be either, but most (maybe all) are 4-stroke.

Does the poulan p4tn20sa take a gas/oil mix?

I cannot find any literature on your mower, but I'm guessing it has a 4 stroke Brigg's engine on it. If so, then there is no gas/oil mix requirement. The only engine's where you mix gas and oil are 2 stroke engines, which are not installed on most of today's mowers. There should be a separate place on your mower to put gas and oil in. If so, then you should probably run straight 30 weight oil in it and do not overfill it or you'll ruin your engine. I hope this helps. James.

I need to know if I need to mix the gas for my Yamaha 2002 Banshee 350 Twin or if I can just put in straight gas

Normally these days on 2 stroke engines you put fuel into the tank directly and then you should also have a reservoir for your oil mix on the LH side cover. The system will mix the required fuel to oil mix themselves. Good enough?

Need to know gas mixture

Yours is not a current model and I did not find a manual. The following is an excerpt from a 26cc MightyLite Blower/Vac UT08550/UT08951 "Operator's Manual":
This product is powered by a 2-cycle engine and requires pre-mixing gasoline and 2-cycle lubricant. Pre-mix unleaded gasoline and 2-cycle engine lubricant in a clean 1 gallon container approved for gasoline.
Recommended fuel: This engine is certified to operate on unleaded gasoline intended for automotive use.
Mix Homelite Premium Exact Mix lubricant with gasoline according to the instructions on the package. If Premium Exact Mix lubricant is not available, use a high quality synthetic 2-cycle engine lubricant, mixed at 2.6 oz. per gallon (US).
Do not use automotive lubricant or 2-cycle outboard lubricant.
NOTE: Premium Exact Mix fuel mix will stay fresh up to 30 days. DO NOT mix quantities larger than usable in a 30 day period.
PREMIUM EXACT MIX (50:1)
GasolineLubricant
1 gallon (US) 2.6 oz.
1 Liter 20 cc (20 ml)

If properly adjusted your blower will operate fine on 50:1 regardles of what the manual reads. HTH

Power source problem

Gasoline-powered chainsaws use a two-cycle engine (requiring mixing of oil and gas). Mobility and power are the main advantages of gas. Disadvantages include the bother and smell of mixing oil and gas, pull cord starting and the additional overall maintenance needed. Electric saws are great for smaller yard chores. They're quieter than their gas-powered cousins, lightweight, easy to start and require less maintenance. However, they have less power than gasoline-powered saws. They also add the bother of dragging a cord around behind you.
