Wireless capabilities i need to turn on my wireless capabilities as my cat decided to use my laptop as a resting place whilst i was in the bathroom, and wen i came back they were turned off, the diagnosis is to turn them on by using a function key combination, what would this be for a fujitsu siemens amilo 1705?

you must uninstall the old ATK-drivers before reinstalling.

It would be helpful if we knew the Make, Model of laptop and the OS you are using. I suggest you try Updating or Rolling back the Wireless adapter for starters.

somehow my my acer aspire 5560 decided to turn off wireless capability by itself ... thank goodness i jumped onto the desktop computer and typed into Google " How do I turn on my wireless capability on my acer aspire 5560 ' your directions were spot on ... I dont know anything about fixing computers , so i just want to thank you for your simple instructions that helped me to get my laptop functioning again perfectly ... on my laptop the keys were FN (funtion Key) & F3 ....... much appreciated !!!!

i guess every laptop comes with a driver dvd. if u dont have the dvd then go the place from where you had got the laptop or else ask ur friends abt the driver dvd if they have.

You need a cat 5 ethernet cable that goes from the uplink port to the router. The rest is wireless. Most routers offer cat 5 ports where you can plug a computer in. Dont use a telephone wire ... telephone wire is RJ 11 - you need a RJ-45 caat 5 cable. They look similar.

BTW, most wireless runs at about 10 - while wire runs at 100 or 1000.

You will need to run the wizard on your computer to detect ... and/or load the software that came with the router.

this is a educated guess but in normal cars they need a spacific amout of back pressure to run properly now my removeing the cat you may have tampered with the back pressure balance and now it causes it to raddle try putting the cat back on

where you see the light for you're wireless connectivity (blue when enabled) should be red now, just tap it once to turn it back on.

have you tried restarting see if internet picks back up if not try this
control panel
network connections
right click your wireless
if you see enable the click
if not then click repair.
please let me know if this solved if not we'll go to the next step

there is a button near to the DVD rom tray...you can slide it to activate wireless..
