I have a fridgidaire gallery 4 door fridge. I have an error message with an upside down F 4. Temperatures are fine. Not sure what the problem is

he upside down "F" error code on a Frigidaire refrigerator typically indicates a fault with the freezer fan. The fan is responsible for circulating air throughout the freezer compartment, so if it's not working properly, it can cause the temperature to rise and trigger the error code.
Here are a few steps you can try to resolve the issue:
  1. Check the fan blade for any obstructions, such as ice or debris. If there is something blocking the fan, remove it.
  2. Make sure the fan blades can spin freely. If they are obstructed or damaged, the fan may not be able to circulate air properly.
  3. Check the fan motor and its wiring for any damage or loose connections. If you find any issues, contact a professional for repair.
  4. If the fan motor appears to be working fine, the control board or the temperature sensor may be the cause of the problem. In this case, it is recommended to contact a professional for repair.
If the problem persists after trying these steps, I would recommend contacting a professional for further assistance.

Samsung rb2055sl reezer issue.

88 on its own is a Samsung code.

Did you check the evaporator coils at the back of the freezer. It the defrost timer, or the heater fails, if forms a large block of ice and there is no airflow.

Our fridge compressor won't run after a power outage, can it be reset?

compressors use a small start / run capacitor to start the compressor
modern fridges do not like spikes from power outages and many power boards and electronic components fail because of this and I am inclined top use a surge protector before the fridge cord plug
I went google and typed in --fault code 88-88 for samsung fridge model rf26aewp and the first site up is error codes /messages/ blinking
the site is support-us.samsung>popup>iframe
there is a detailed answer there with a list of fault codes as well and what they indicate
there are other sites that also refer to the fault that you have

Have to slam freezer door to clear 88 error codes on samsung refrigerator

I am not certain on this, but my guess is that you have a problem with the door closed sensor, which should be attached to the door/ light actuating button. It may be faulty, or just out of adjustment. I assume that you have contacted Samsung about what error code 88 is. Do they have any other input? What doesn't make sense is that the fridge turns off. You would think that if the door sensor read "Open door" it would continuously run, rather than shutting off, unless it is causing an overload, or overheating condition. I have had good luck w/ Samsung tech dept., but they can be a little hard to reach. Hope this helps.

8 e code

Most like it is a defrost sensor error in the FF section. On the back of your refrigerator there should be a schematic of what happens when there is an error...normal when performing the self test and all is ok is a reading of 88 88 Different parts of the 8 will blink depicting the error. For 88 88...if the last 8 is blinking the sections on the right side of the eight it looks like an E...but it is not.,..it is blinking an R1 b, or R1 c error. Looking at the chart R1 b is Sensor System in FF Compartment Errors, and R1c is Defrost Sensor Error in FF Compartment Errors.

I hope this clears things up as I see a lot of people say there panel is flashing 88 8Y, or 88 8E when actually it is just different parts of the 8 blinking.

Error code 88 88

The 88 88 code indicates a modem communication error in the refrigerator. This error is not applicable in the U.S. It should be ignored. The control will conduct a self diagnostic check when it is powered up. When this code is encountered it will just need to be cleared and the refrigerator will resume normal operation. To clear the code, press and hold the POWER FREEZE and POWER COOL buttons simultaneously. NOTE: Be sure to press these two buttons at EXACTLY the same time -- no sound will be heard when the buttons are both pressed properly). HOLD the buttons down for about 8 to 12 deliberate seconds until the control beeps and goes blank. Leave the control in this diagnostic test mode and allow it to exit after it times out in that mode. This will take several minutes. When the test mode clears the fault code 88 88 and returns to normal operation, you should be able to set the controls on the unit and it will work normally.
