Had a "Surge" of electricity and blew the fuse. Tried to replace it with a "fast acting 1.6 Amp 250 volt" but it blew out when turned on. Do I need a different type fuse?

Honey well air purifier 17007 fuse blew. how to repair

The fuse is located inside the control panel. It is soldered to the circuit board, not mounted in a typical fuse holder. You will need a Philips screwdriver to disassemble the unit. You will need a soldering iron & solder to remove the fuse and replace it. You may want to a multi-meter to check the fuse. If the unit just stopped working, it could be a number of other issues than the fuse. The starter capacitor for the motor could be dead or some other issue. You must take precautions against electrical shock. You may need a technician to safely perform some repairs.

Where is fuse for ecoquest freshaire

Mine is on the back, just above the pluggin for the cord .
The fuse may be accessed by unplugging the cord from the back of the unit and gently pulling the fuse holder stright out. 100 & 110 volt models use 1.6 Amp slow blow fuse.
220/240 volt models use 1.0 Amp slow blow fuse. Got this info from my owners manual. I would also check to see if the on/off switch in on, this is just above the fuse. I hope this helped.

I lost neutral on the electrical service and my cleaner no longer works, i changed the fuse that had blown, but when i turned the filter on it simply blew the new fuse

Blowing a new fuse would indicate that there is some component of the machine which was damaged. The fuse is a safety device which keeps electricity from flowing through defective wiring.

You can visually inspect the machine to see if there are any wires, connections, or components that appear to be damaged, burned, loose, or broken. The plates need to be perfect, without cracks, burned spots, loose mucilage, broken screens, etc. The contact fingers should be screwed firmly in place, and they should press firmly against the screen part of the plate.

If you can detect and then repair any of the above defects, and if the machine still blows the fuse, you can assume that the problem is deeper in the machine and it needs professional help! Unfortunately, Vollara (formerly EcoQuest) no longer makes or repairs the Flair. You can contact Vollara customer service 800-989-2299 to locate a dealer in your area; they may have another machine or know where you could get one. They may also know of someone who could repair it for you.

Will not turn on Have checked switch under filter Have checked continuity of the fuse plates are making contact Ecoquest Breeze AQ

Have you checked the fuse? It is located in back of the Breeze in the fuse holder next to where the plug connects to the purifier. It uses a 1.0 Amp slow blow for 110 volt models and 0.5 Amp slow blow for 220 volt models.

What type of fuse do you get for a Breeze AT EcoQuest unit?

A buss type fuse is like the glass tubeb with metal ends and just snaps in two clamp type holder. Any automotive store carries them. know what amperage, like 5, 10,15 ,20 etc. The 250 v is the norm. The fuse protects against amperage overload not voltage. They come in tins of assorted or specifc in fives. Good luck

Purifier doesn't go on and keeps blowing fuses when turned on

If the machine keeps blowing fuses there is a short in the electrical circuit and it needs to be looked at by a certified repair center.
Make sure the fuses you replace are the same as the original
100,110 volt models use the 1.0 amp slow blow fuse
220 volt models use the 0.5 amp slow blow fuse.

I hope this helps
