How do i brighten the monitor with ATI Mobility Radeon X1400 (0x7145). Dell inspiron 9400 still running XP.lol. i don't see an option in properties.

Looking through the options in the properties menus. i am guessing about the pop-up options, ibm or lenova, i don't know how to find that info.

Or it's done with one of the function keys on the keyboard. There should be an FN key which you hold down while pressing one the the F keys usually like F4 or F5.

Dell Inspiron 8200 ATI Mobility Radeon 9000 Green Screen Problem

Try connecting an external monitor to the laptop. After your computer is attached to an external monitor, press the <Fn> key and the <F8> (CRT, LCD) key to switch the video image to the display. If the external monitor works, the computer display or video controller may be defective.

Driver is missing

The ATI website may or may not have that particular driver on it (I can't remember). However, I would first try the manufacturer's website (i.e. Dell, Gateway, HP). If neither of those have the driver you are looking for, try this: http://www.softwarepatch.com/utilities/mobility-radeon.html
