SOURCE: Oil filled Heater will not turn on and heat.

First thing make sure: · Ensure that your circuit breaker or fuse is working properly. · Be sure the heater is plugged in and that the electrical outlet is working properly. · Check for any obstruction. If you find any obstruction, turn the heater ?OFF?. Unplug the heater and wait a few minutes for it to cool down. Carefully remove the obstruction. Plug the heater in and turn it on again by referring to the OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS. Second, If you're NOT still under warranty you should at least open the heater and look for anything strange like a blown fuse. A lot of times you can buy replacement at a local electronic or hardware store and they're easy to replace.

SOURCE: Heat turns off

Sounds like the high limit switch on the heater is kicking off. The flash is the switch shutting off the heating element. The only way to reset it is to turn unit off for about 5 minutes. Possible problems are: 1.) Bad thermostat 2.) blower motor not turning fast enough which means motor is bad.

How do set the temp on a 15 gallon tank

leave the heater unplugged in the aquarium in for several hours. Then plug it in briefly and see if the neon bulb lights up (sort of an orange color). If it is on, turn the temp set knob counter clockwise until it goes out. Then turn the knob clockwise slowly until the light comes on again. Now your heater is set for approximately the current temp of the aquarium water. Now adjust the knob in very small increments, waiting hours between adjustments until the water is at the temp you want.

The clean light is blinking. Dishwasher won't start

Hi

If clean light is blinking 7 times then it may be an issue with heater circuit, door switch or wash pump. If yes then please reset the power to the dishwasher. After, 5 minutes check if you are still getting the same error. If yes, then it is a water heating fault. To resolve this error try pressing this reset sequence-- Heat Dry - Normal - Heat Dry - Normal or High Temp - Air Dry - High Temp - Air Dry or Hi Temp Scrub, energy saver dry, Hi Temp Scrub, energy saver dry. Now let the unit run for 2-3 minutes and then you press the Cancel/Drain button and allow it to completely drain and reset.
If this doesn't work then it's an issue with the wash pump not pumping the water past the heater efficiently or due to lack of water to heat. Please make sure that heater is not open circuited and is heating the water efficiently. You'll have to check the heater using a multimeter; the meter should read between 3000 to 3300 ohms (Use multimeter on Rx1 ohm setting). If heater is fine then make sure water pressure is optimum and fill valve is working fine.

Hope this helps... Please post back for further assistance.

Water gets burning hot and trips reset on thermostat and theromast was replaced and still doing it

Is there a temp setting like hi,med,or low? That control works like a rheostat. If it is shorted it will keep the elements full powered and you will have this problem. Has the pressure relief vale gone off yet? Make sure it works so you don't have pressure damage to the plumbing . Now back to the thermostat. Try turning it all the way down. If it continues to heat, The rheostat is defective (temp control)

Only a little heat is going to the cylinder

Zuraxus what you are seeing is normal for a time. Here is how this dryer works. With a wet towel in the dryer, the first 5 minutes is testing to see if the load is wet. If so then between 5 & 10 minutes the dryer will turn on the 800 watt heater section (only in clockwise rotation). If still wet enough from 10 minutes to 15 minutes it will turn on the 1900 watt heater (heating only in clockwise). If still wet enough 15 to dry will turn on the full 2700 watts in clockwise and 800 watts in counter clock wise. That is how the cycle works. However it is hard to tell with the rear cover removed as the blower pushes the air thru the heater. Careful that by running with the back panel off you don't trip the high temp manual reset protector. So yes this sounds normal. What is the issue that is causing you to think the dryer isn't working proper?

Honeywell Surround HZ2200 / HZ2204 /

A link to an Adobe (Acrobat) Reader format (.pdf) owner's manual for Honeywell® (Mini Tower) SURROUND HEAT™ HEATER FAN Models HZ-2200 (charcoal) and HZ-2204 (white) is here.

Some text from the manual:

SET UP
• The Surround Heat™ Heater is designed to
disperse heat in either a 360° range or in one direction only.
• To select the desired heating mode, slide the Direction Control switch, located
on the top of the heater, to the position of your choice:
– to the right (full circle) for 360° Heating
– to the left (half circle) for forward only heating (One Direction
Heating)

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Select the appropriate heat dispersion mode. (See
Set-Up instructions.)
• With the Power knob in the OFF position, plug the
heater into a polarized 120V outlet.
• Turn the Thermostat control fully clockwise to the
HIGH setting.
• Turn the heater on using the Child Resistant switch
(Power knob). To operate the switch, push down
the two sides of the Power knob while turning it
clockwise to the desired position. The power
light will illuminate. The Child Resistant switch helps
ensure that the heater can not be turned on accidentally.
• When the room reaches a comfortable temperature, slowly turn the Thermostat
control counter-clockwise until the heater goes off. This is the point at which the
Thermostat setting equals the room temperature. At this setting, the Thermostat
will automatically turn the heater on and off to maintain this selected temperature.
• Push down and turn the Power knob to OFF and unplug the heater when you
are finished using it.
