Hi

If clean light is blinking indicates an issue with heater circuit, door switch or wash pump. To resolve this please reset the power to the dishwasher. After, 5 minutes check if you are still getting the same error. If yes, then it is a water heating fault. To resolve this error try pressing this reset sequence-- Heat Dry - Normal - Heat Dry - Normal or High Temp - Air Dry - High Temp - Air Dry or Hi Temp Scrub, energy saver dry, Hi Temp Scrub, energy saver dry. Now let the unit run for 2-3 minutes and then you press the Cancel/Drain button and allow it to completely drain and reset.
If this doesn't work then it's an issue with the wash pump not pumping the water past the heater efficiently or due to lack of water to heat. Please make sure that heater is not open circuited and is heating the water efficiently. You'll have to check the heater using a multimeter; the meter should read between 3000 to 3300 ohms (Use multimeter on Rx1 ohm setting). If heater is fine then make sure water pressure is optimum and fill valve is working fine. Hope this helps... Please post back for further assistance.

Daniel

Why is my Kitchenaid dishwasher model KUDS01DJSS0 pump making loud humming noise? Pump motor suddenly began making loud humming noise when running. (not so bad when draining).

Some dishwashers have a soft food disposal inside. If something is hung up, it will grind or hum for a long time. If this is the problem, it will eventually go away.

Pump clamp failure fixed and now dishwasher clean light blinks 4 times and controls are locked

I would start by calling that Technician back out. If it is a common problem with your model, did the technician inform you of that when he was there last? Did he even mention the POSSIBILITY that the pump might have water in it and may need to be replaced?

If not, I'd want to know why not. This sounds like something he should have been aware of and checked for, especially if he was a Kitchen Aid appliance service technician. That's the way a "handyman" might do something, but not a certified repairman.

Check for obstructions inside in the bottom first and or the pump might be clogged. If it's not some type of obstruction or clog it is likely your motor has died or is almost dead. Start planning on replacing your dishwasher. I suggest to go with a higher end brand. Kitchenaid Superba EQ, Electrolux Wave-Touch, Bosch 800 Series for example.

The dishwasher is making a "buzzing" type of noise. I've taken out everything and it's still doing it--seems to be coming from the motor.

You'll need to clean and possibly replace the chopper and/or impeller. To get to the chopper you need to remove all parts you can from the pump assembly inside the dishwasher.
To get to the impeller you'll need to pull the dishwasher out and remove the motor.
Finally, there is still chance that the noise is from the motor itself. Good luck!

Just on a whim i would say the bearings in the motor are worn.Any leaks? It's also possible that some broken glass went through the screen and into the pump motor if any glass has been broken.

Kitchen aid dishwasher

Either:
  1. the water does not get into the dishwasher open the dishwasher 3-4 times during cycle, you should see some water at least once, if not - check water valve, water level float and water pressure.
  2. the pump is clogged - there is water, the motor will run but no water is circulated. Check pump filters, check chopper and impeller.
  3. motor in main pump is not working - could be caused by something stuck on the impeller or chopper or could be a problem with the motor itself or control board. Check if line voltage is coming to the motor during wash/rinse cycle.
Good luck,
