First, you should locate and seal the crack with silicone or equivalent. Next, you should remove the lens from the vehicle (if possible) and all the bulbs, connectors, etc. Then get the lens in a warm, dry place to air out, direct sun light works, but be careful not to warp lens. Once it has dried out and all moisture has left, double check that all seams and cracks are sealed, then reinstall lens. Make sure all bulbs, connectors, etc are secure and tight to prevent moisture from returning. Lastly, enjoy moisture free lenses!

Moisture in 2001 sc-1 headlight

Did you recently change a bulb or have a crack in the headlamp?
headlights are design so they shouldn't acumulate moisture, however if replace the bulb and not seal it corectly we can get a water inside. First you should inspect your light for any damage (small cracks, tiny holes ect.), 2nd check your bulb position in the headlight, should be installed firm in the socket (oring, seal from must be in good condition, no cracks, flexible, if bulb is very old seal can get damage, so just replace a bulb). In order to remove moisture you will have to remove the bulb anyway and with the hair dryier heat the lens till you get water out of it, be carefull do not heat to high and just in one spot becuse you can damge headlight. it will take a while to do this at this time of the year if you live in late fall, winter afected region, but if the problems discribed above exist your moisture will come back(you may have to replace the headlight). Good luck

How do I remove the headlight cover from 2005 crossfire to clean the precipitation

they are sealed units and not meant to be taken apart, if there is moisture inside it means there is a crack or hole somewhere allowing it in, look for anywhere moisture can get in and seal it, the moisture that is there now will dry up over time.

Is it common for moisture to be in the headlights of a 2004 chevy venture van? Is this something will lead to having to replace the headlights? The headlights are supposedly "sensors" and will...

Yes ! The headlight is more than cracked, which is allowing moisture in. the sensor is not part of the headlight {dust to dawn operation}. If you replace headlight. You will have no problem with operation of lights.

Moisture keeps collecting inside my 2008 Subaru Tribeca front headlight. Dealership resealed twice without sucess. They finally replaced the headlight with a new one, and the problem still persists. ...

Try taking off the headlights and remove the bulbs. When you remove the bulbs, there is a gasket. If there is moisture, you will notice that the outside and inside of the gasket is wet. Use a hair dryer and silicone sealant to seal the gasket and the moisture problem shall go away.

I have cracked the right side lense cover headlight on a 2007 r6. Do youknow where I can get a new lense cover as there is no damage tothe headlight itself and have been told that the assembly is 1 piece...

you may try a "skins"stick on headlight cover, it is a thick plastic cover you cut to the shape,, it wont fix the crack but will keep moisture out and stop the crack expanding, this may keep you riding until you can find a secondhand one, cheaper than new. try autobarn or other accessory speed shops for the skins

1999 ford taurus with moisture in the headlights

Most headlights lens are sealed up to prevent this problem. A broken seal or a crack somewhere opened up to let in moisture.
You can drill a small hole on the lowest part of the plastic headlight housing to let the water drain out. Or, replace the plastic headlight assembly with a new sealed one.The plastic headlights turn yellow and cloud up over time (not because of moisture inside, because it's plastic getting ruined by the weather and the sun). This problem reduces headlights from putting more light on the road.
The only thing you can do with moisture inside the headlights is to drain out the water that builds up. The seals on the headlights are bad right now and are going to keep letting moisture in. I would replace the both headlight assemblies for new sealed, clear ones.
