Check to see, if the line is kinked. Are you sure, that the part, that is pressed, to release the water works? I'm not an expert on the model. I'm just asking general questions.

SOURCE: Water dispenser not working

2 things i want you to try before you call a tech out first under frezer door there is a connector where the 2 lines connect disconect both off now actuate the water at door if you get water out the line that means your line inside door is frozen 2 if you don't get water that means your water reservour is frozen so to solve problem cheapest way is to derost it by unpluging it for maybe 2 days and if it was frozen it should go back to normal and this time keep your temps in right settings refrigerator section at 37% and freezer from 0 to 4 % at all times that will keep lines from freezing

SOURCE: GE GSS25LGMF Water dispenser-no water

Order and install a WR49X10173 water tube heater. It may take 24 hours to then thaw, but it has worked for me on numerous refrigerators. Cost for the part will run about $50.

Water dispenser has ceased dispensing water.

Water tube is frozen inside the door. Bad design. I use boiling water, a small plastic flexible tube and appropriate plastic syringe to force very hot water into the tube pushing the small tube into the dispenser tube. At some point it will stop because of the Ice blockage, more hot water through the small tube will soon unblock the line. A retrofit "heater" was available at appliance parts stores. I installed one. It stopped working and I haven't bothered with another. The Ice supply line is separate from the water dispenser and Y's somewhere to get water into the hinge for the door access to the Water dispenser in the door. Hope this helps.

Water dispenser not working GE model GSH25JSX13

Do you hear a slight buzzing when you try to get water?? If yes, you may have a frozen water line inside the freezer door. GE had some problems with those models. They offer a heater kit that has to be installed in the dispenser area of the freezer door. Once installed, in about a day the water line should be defrosted enough to dispense water again. If you don't hear that buzzing sound when trying to get water, you could have a bad inlet valve which is at the lower back of the refrigerator where your house water line hook to the refrigerator.

Out of no where the water dispenser doesn't dispense water. Cannot figure out why it would do that. The ice maker works fine. We have had our Whirlpool refrigerator model #GI7FVCXWQ0 for almost a year...

Your water line could be frozen in the door. You can disconnect the line under the unit before it goes into the door at the bottom hinge. Push the dispenser button and see if it comes out there. If it does leave the door open till it thaws. Covering the opening with a blanket will prevent the loss of cold in the freezer. . GE makes a heater that will prevent this from happening again. The part number for this heater is WR49X10173.

disconnect the line to the water dispenser at the water inlet valve on the back where the water supply comes in and try the dispenser. if you hear the valve work but water doesn't come out, the valve is bad. If you don't hear the valve, the dispenser switch is bad

Water dispensor stoppedworking

If the light and ice dispenser on the front panel works and If your fridge is 4 years old or older, the insulation in the freezer door has most likely deteriorated and the water in the tube feeding the water dispenser has probably frozen. Open the freezer door, put a blanket over the food to keep it from defrosting, and use a blow dryer to defrost the door. Blow the hot air on the flat panel inside the door (the backside of the water dispenser). Close the door about every 5 minutes to check to see if the water works. Once the water begins to flow, you have successfully defrosted the ice in the tube. Defrosting the door works for about 12 hours until it freezes again. To solve this problem, I placed a 10" weedeater line up thorugh the dispenser nozzle leaving about 1/8 of an inch sticking out. When the line freezes again, pull out the weedeater line, dispense water to free the ice, and then reinsert the weadeater line. I keep the line in all the time...it works great! If the light or ice dispenser do not work, the problem may be *********** board.

GE gss22sgrf sidebyside water dispenser does not work, ice does

these unit have a problem with the water line freezing inside the freezer door. ge makes a tape style heater that goes inside the dispenser area to give just enough heat to keep it from freezing the water line.
you can try to change the freezer settings, warmer, clean the coils at the back of the unit and leave the freezer door open for 20-30 minute to allow the door to warm up and that will be a temporary fix to allow water to flow until you can get the heater kit.

Water dispenser does not work, ice maker does work. This is a used Whirlpool side by side. I hooked up the water yesterday and the water dispenser worked. Overnight, something went awry and I do not get...

Icemaker is in line with the water and runs from the icemaker threw the door and up to the water valve. So that is why the ice maker is working and the water is not working, most likely the water has frozen inside, And this can be caused by many different reasons, if it has been humid or the door was left open then shut it would cause the moisture in the air to be drawn to the warm water and flash frosted the pipe, try to see if you can defrost the line with a hair dryer. If that does not work post here and I will tell you the next step to try.

Water despenser does not work

OK EVERYONE...

HERE IS YOUR SOLUTION FOR WATER AND ICE DISPENSERS ON GE UNITS NOT WORKING BECAUSE OF FROZEN LINES.

GET A HAIR DRYER...

USE THE HAIRDRYER TO WARM UP THE LINE THAT STARTS AT THE BOTTOM LEFT HAND SIDE OF THE FREEZER DOOR.

WARM UP EVERYTHING ALL THE WAY UP THE SIDE UP TO THE WATER DISPENSER.

WARM UP THE TUBE WHERE THE WATER COMES OUT.
(BE CAREFUL NOT TO PUSH THE WATER DISPENSER SWITCH...COMMON SENSE)

KEEP WARMING UP THE DOOR AND TESTING THE SWITCH UNTIL YOU GET WATER...

IT TOOK ME ABOUT 20 MINUTES...IT MAY TAKE LONGER DEPENDING ON HOW BAD THE LINE IS FROZEN.

I HOPE THIS HELPS...

Water dispenser

Hello, If you can see the water line inside the freezer case you might try using a hair blow dryer to try to thaw it out to get water flowing again? Good Luck! Dr. Know
