Order and install a WR49X10173 water tube heater. It may take 24 hours to then thaw, but it has worked for me on numerous refrigerators. Cost for the part will run about $50.

Water won't dispense

Your water line may be frozen through the freezer door. Remove the kickpanel at the bottom and you will see a quick disconnect. remove it and shut the freezer door and call for water. if you have water to that point then you know the line is frozen. Only fix is to replace the door or let the ref thaw for 24 hrs. Hope this helps. MJ

Some of the early models had a sphion ball at the dispenser water tube. When this design worked. it was supposed to sphion water back into the supply line after you stopped calling for water. It's recommended that after you replace the filter and or anytime the water lines are accessed, purge the system. Pull at least 1 gal of water from the dispenser to purge the air. Air in the lines will produce back pressure. This pressure not the same as the regulated line pressure, will continue to push water through to the dispenser and or icemaker. Depending on the model design of the unit, the ice maker may be tricky to purge. Ther are several styles, with the ice bin in the door as trickyest.

GE Monogram ZFSB26DRSS- water dispenser problem

Disconnect the water line at the water inlet valve on the back and try the dispenser to see if water comes out there and see if you hear the valve work. If the water comes out here then the problem could be the filter. The mesh screen in the water inlet valve could be stopped up. Disconnect the water supply line to see the screen. You may have to remove the cardboard backing to see the valve on the back of the freezer.

No water, no ice, but new water filter cartridge

If it was running before the filter change you need to purge the filter cartridge of the air in the lines. Also check voltage on the back on the water control valves . While someone presses dispenser you should get 120volts AC on the plug receptacle side for the dispenser . Let me know what you find, Sea Breeze

Hi, I have had a similar situation. In my case the filter needed to be replaced. Otherwise the water solenoid is bad or clogged. And check the water supply valve. Best of luck. , Tim

Ge gsl25jfrfbs water disoenser not working

Solenoid or the dispenser switch.

The water supply line connects to a water valve on the Ref. this water valve has two solenoids, one for the ice maker and one for the water in the door. Check this solenoid with an OHM meter.

The dispenser switch should send 110 volts to the solenoid. Check at the solenoid while pushing the water switch in the door.
