I'd start with a replacement main board

Thank you Much. I called SHARP for service code reading with absolutely NO help. Was told to call a service tech. I can fix this and at least know what to look for.

That is usually indicative of a failed power supply inside the TV.
Check for an external fuse, make sure the power to the TV is working (circuit breaker?).
Probably time to take it to the TV repair shop.
Those parts are rarely available outside of Sharp.

If you are a big DIY person, you could take the PS board out of the TV, get the part number off it, and see if you can find one for sale here. Which MIGHT fix your TV.

Power Board wil not fix black spot. the spot is caused from lamp failure. Led strip has at least one LED out, takes out the whole section. Go into trouble shooting to verify. After so many start ups with the black spot, the TV will not turn on in TV mode.

Compare yours with the picture to see if there is anything visually wrong.

Call sharp back again and tell them you first want to register for aquos advantage program, which is free. By doing that your service will go much quicker with them. You then tell them that you want to get set up for service. They will have one of their authorized professionals come and fix your tv in a matter of days. If their tech cannot fix it, they will replace your tv free of charge as long as you are within your warranty.

I have same problem, In Caribean and repairs and new TVs are extra costly. Bringing power supply back with me to USA to see if I can buy a new one.

How many times does the POWER led blink per sec? (dont worry about the OPC)
