Press both the start and pause buttons together and count the beeps. Then the light above the start button will flash so count those. Example is 5 beeps and 9 flashes means error code E 5-9

Washer knob / Dial going round & round

If the washer knob of the unit is going round and round all by itself it means that there is something that has malfunctioned in the unit or else there was an error in setting proper cycles.
You will first need to reset the unit, to see the reset procedure click here
Once you have reseted the unit and even then the washer knob is going round & round it means that a part or parts in the machine have gone bad which may need to be replaced.
The question would be how can one understand which part in the unit has gone bad.
To make things easier, here is what needs to be done to know which part has gone bad.
  1. After reseting the unit, set a new cycle and switch on the machine.
  2. If the washer knob starts going round and round, the mode+Door lock light will flicker in a sequence, for example, it may flicker 4 times before taking a pause and then flicker 4 times again and continue this sequence.
  3. Once you know what is the count which is also the fault code there is a fault code chart which you can refer to understand which part has gone bad.
  4. The fault code chart is as follows:

How do I put my WFW94HE Whirlpool front load washer in diagnostic mode?

For Duet washers, including the WFW94HE, you need to make sure that the washer is plugged in and turned on. Make sure that it is in standby mode (not running a program). (If you just turned on the machine, wait at least 30 seconds before continuing.)

Next pick any three buttons on the control panel, excluding the power button; you will need to keep track of the order that you choose. Then press and release each button and repeat the sequence twice more in 8 seconds. (The sequence becomes: press and release button 1, button 2, button 3, button 1, button 2, button 3, button 1, button 2, button 3 quickly.) If it works, you will see all of the control LEDs light up and 888 on the time remaining LCD screen. Note: the washer will exit the diagnostic more if no buttons are pressed in 5 minutes. You will use these three buttons to work through the diagnostic tests so make sure that you remember which one is which.

If this sequence doesn't work, turn the washer off and then back on. Try again with different buttons. (It's possible that one button is malfunctioning.)

I hope this helps.

Zanussi ZWF580- after the wash cycle I press the red button to rinse & spin but it just tumbles & rinses again, then the red button comes on again. This could go on all day. I find that to finish...

If the START / PAUSE button lights up red, the washing machine detects a malfunction. Now you should count how many times the START / PAUSE button lights up red and tell to us what kind of malfunction is being done.

Try to rapid reading of alarm codes when the appliance is in normal operating mode (e.g. during the execution of the washing
programme):
Press and hold down START/PAUSE and the nearest option button for at least two seconds: the LEDs initially switch off, and then display the flashing sequence indicating the last alarm.

LED indicator START / PAUSE with red light = indicates the first digit of the alarm code (family)
• LED indicator START / PAUSE with green light = indicates the second digit of the alarm code (internal number of the family)

F5 code comes up and the washer is now halting mid cycle. Washer is 5 yrs old

Frigidaire has a website that contains the "function codes" for all of their appliances. Go online and using the model number of your machine, see what SUPPORT they offer for your product/model#. It may be halting because of a timer malfunction or "solenoid" malfunction which would be a problem determined by a qualified repair agent.
Frigidaire is a good company with customer service questions. Number is:1 (800) 374-4432 Monday - Friday

Try pressing the following key pad buttons within 5 seconds - PREWASH OPTIONS - WASH TIME, PREWASH OPTIONS - WASH TIME, in this sequence and allow the washer to run. The LED display will start counting down as the washer begins a sequence of short diagnostics tests. If no error is present, the washer will return to standby. If the error persists, you may have a blockage in your drain pump. Please run the test and let me know the results. Total test time is about 1 minute 40 seconds. I hope this helps you.

DRYER NOT DRYING

First of all you may want to reset the unit, let me know if you need the procedure and after reseting the unit the washer knob may go round and round all by itself, if this happens the door mode light will flicker in a particular sequence which once once counted we can understand exactly which part in the machine has malfunctioned which once replaced the unit should start to work properly.
