Good Morning. We have a DEGX1US dryer whose display board randomly lights up. Sometimes we have to unplug it and plug it back in to get it to open or to finish a cycle. What do we need to do to remedy this? Thank you, Ralph Congdon [email protected]

AEG model T56840L appears to have no power. There are no lights, no display, just nothing. I have checked power is getting to the machine end of the power cord.

Sounds like a fuse on the control board is bad or the control board has failed, the control board can sometimes be reset by leaving the power unplugged for a few hours, then plugging back in, (this will not work if the fuse or control board is bad) if either are bad, they will need to be replaced

My Kenmore Elite dryer keeps beeping..just going through the end of cycle alarm-high,low,off...anyone have any suggestions. Now no panel lights, drum light on with door open, off when closed.

it sounds like you have a bad computer board.every time i saw a dryer that beeps on it's own it was a bad board and now you say you have no lights.most likely it's the board.there should be a tech sheet that will tell you how to get the machine into diagnostics, also you can try to unplug it for like 15 minutes and plug it back in,sometimes it will reset the board just like a house computer but if you have no lights it might not reset.remove the bottom panel the tech sheet should be taped to the back of it or in that area.

F01 - There may be an internal problem with the control, attempt a Hard Reset.

Hard Reset - In some cases the control can be non-functioning or may not accept activation from the control panel. To clear and restart the control follow the these steps:

* Unplug or turn the circuit breaker off for 30 seconds.
* Reconnect the unit to the power source by turning the breaker back on or plugging the unit back into the wall outlet.
* Press the Pause/Cancel/Stop button twice to clear the "PF" in the display.
* Start a short cycle to check the operation of the machine by selecting a cycle and pressing and holding the start button until the machine starts.

The F01 generally indicates a failed electronic machine control board.
This error code can sometimes be caused by a glitch or power surge through the electrical lines.
You may be able to clear this code by unplugging the washer for 5 minutes.
If the code returns after plugging the washer back in, then the electronic machine control board will need to be replaced.

The procedure for accessing and replacing this control board is shown in this image...

http://media.fotki.com/1_p,wkwdftgtbkdgfrwxgtqsskgwtqkq,vi/ksrttqdqrxkssrqtgsd/1/1303472/5961857/image12917img-or.jpg

Be sure to unplug the washer before accessing internal components.
When you access the control board, I recommend transferring the wires from the old control board to the new replacement control board one connection at a time.
Once you have all of the wires transferred, remove the old control board and mount the new control board in the washer.
Reassemble and test the washer.

The "F01" error code indicates a communication error between the Central Control Unit (CCU) and the EEPROM onboard the CCU.
The "F01" can also be displayed if the onboard "Pump Driver" fails to activate.
Generally in order to correct this failure will require replacing the CCU.
There is no way to test and verify if the control board has failed.
The technical data sheet basically states to replace the CCU.

My dryer wont comeon at all the panel does not light up at all

This is a very common problem with this dryer. It could be one of three things. List below is in order of probable cause:
1.) Bad connection between the interface & Control boards.
2.) Interface board. (Front Bezel with all the buttons)
3.) Control board. (under metal cover top left side of unit)
If it was me unplug unit. Remove 3 each screws on back of unit that hold the top on and remove top. Remove screws and open silver box on top left side. With a small screw driver carefully push in on lock tab and pull 2 each flat cable assembly from control bd. Remove silver crossbar at the top near the from 2 screws. Open door pull out and up on front input display bezel carefully. Same process as before remove all cables and reinstall them back in there original location. Then reassemble in reverse order.
Turn power on this should fix the problem.
If it does not then replace the interface board if that does not work then the control board.

I have a Frigidaire Electric Dryer Model #LEQ1442ES0 which started beeping "out of the blue" around 2 or 3am one morning while I was asleep. Nothing was touching it and nobody was around. Since...

A FixYa tech helped in troubleshooting the problem and helped me find the replacement part, the control board. I replaced it myself and my dryer is no longer driving me crazy. Thanks!

Door won't open

Unfortunately storms do bad things so door openers sometimes. It has most likely gotten to your logic board. You can remove that board and look for burnt or missing traces of the print. Random flashing of that LED is normal.

Monitor goes blank randomly

It is the capacitor on the power to the monitor. I have replaced about 5 so for. The capacitor is like 69 cents. Open it up and look at the circuit board where the power plugs into and see if any capacitor are bubbled up. If so then its a bad capacitor.

Warsher panel goes wacky......

Sounds like you possibly have a short in the touch panel unit.  Very hard to know for sure, but that is usually the signs we get when one goes out.  The problem is this touch panel is seriously expensive.  Try this, unplug the machine for around 15 minutes.  Sometimes they can hang up.  Unplugging it would cause the computer to sometimes reset itself.  If it does the same thing when plugging it back in, its that touch panel.  You cant always see any burned or scored areas to indicate a bad board.  Good luck and let me know if you need any further help.    Jim
