Can't keep kodak easyshare software working. Message is: Kodak easyshare software has stopped working and will close. My windows vista software may be part of the problem. Kodak support people can't seem to help either. They had us to uninstall, download the program again, and reinstall. The program still won't work properly. Any other suggestions besides using another program?

!. remove all easy-share software.
2. Down load a free image editor such as Google Picasa

Windows does not need software from a camera CD to load images- it simple see camera an a removable drive.
A proper editing software is better than any 'get you started stuff' on a Camera CD>

Do you have Kodak EasyShare software? If you dont, then download it from Kodak.com site. Select "support" and then click on "Kodak Easyshare Software - Windows Operating System". Download and install in your PC. Use this software to download your pictures to PC.

Why won't some of my photos transfer to the picture files? These photos are treated as if they are duplicates which they aren't.

I spoke to someone on the IM chat at the kodak website, and took me through the steps that seems to get around that problem, if its a kodak c913. they are; open the easyshare software. connect your camera. if a transfer window opens automatically, close it. in the easyshare software window open the 'add picture button'. then select the folder with the name of your camera 'kodak c913'. all your pictures should load as if it would through the automatic transfer window, select whatever pictures you want to add, clock add pictures, then done, and it doesnt come up with the error message of the software believing there is duplicates.

Cant take a picture although camera turns on

2 possible solutions. !. try using another SD card. if the one in the camera is full, you cannot take a picture. 2. Try another SD card for transferring, (and taking pictures) and try transfer of this card in another camera or reader, such as the one in photo print places.

I have a Kodak EasyShare C530 that I use all the time. Lately the camera won't connect to the computer to transfer pix. I just get the image the camera is facing-no black screen before the connection is...

Hi, Here are a couple things you can try to isolate the cause of this problem. Here goes: 1. See if the camera will connect and transfer properly on a different computer. If so, then the camera is fine. 2. Uninstall whatever software you are using to transfer pictures. If you have not installed any software, it is possible the OS is doing this for you. If you have WindowsXP or Vista, you do not need any software for basic transfer. If you are using the Kodak software that came with your camera, try uninstalling it and re-installing it. Hope these tips help.

Unrecognized file format

Honestly, try transferring the images to your computer without using the Easyshare software. This software has been causing some problems for some users. After you have the images on your computer...open them up and then save them as JPEGs. This should help fix the problem with the transferring.

Trouble transferring pictures from camera to computer

First, Try and install the HP software again. Uninstall the software first and reboot the pc. Then reinstall software. The memory chip maybe have currupt pictures, so format the chip using the camera. You manual should tell you how to do this. Second, Turn the camera on and let the battery run all the way down. This may take some time, maybe a day. Then charge it back up for a day. I hope this helps you out. Let me know.
