Sounds like your main digital board is fat fault. ther isn't much you can do except replace the board or find a service tech to repair the faulty part.
The clock on your navigation device is automatically synchronised with the satellite clocks. You can also set the clock manually, for example when the device is indoors and unable to receive a satellite signal. The default setting is to automatically adjust the clock for the current time zone.
How to change clock settings
To select the time format and to set the time, follow these steps:
Open the Main menu and tap Settings.
In the Settings menu, tap Set clock.
Select how the time should be displayed, then tap Next.
When you do not have a satellite signal, you are asked if you want to set the time manually.
Note: Since you need to be outside for your navigation device to receive a satellite signal, you might want to immediately set the time manually. The device will then set the time automatically when you next take the device outside.
Tap Yes to set the time manually or tap No to set your device to update the time automatically using GPS satellites.
Hope this was helpful. Thank you for using fixya.
First reset your tom tom gps device, that way your language will be back at the default language. To reset your tom tom hold down the power button for about 15 seconds, it will restart itself automatically, that way you will have to chose the language once again. Or you can simply remove the battery and reinstall it in once again. Or you can connect it to a computer and format the gps and download its software back on. That is a sure solution You can also follow the steps below, but you have to be logical about the position where these options are in the language you mistakenly chose.
Tap the screen to bring up the main menu,
Tap change preferences,
Tap the arrow in the bottom right corner until you see change language,
Tap change language,
Follow the instruction on the screen to confirm the language of your choice,
try this it worked for me , hold down the reset button on the bottom of the tom tom down for 15 seconds then when done hold down the power button for 5 seconds , the tom tom will reboot from bios , as i said it worked for me good luck
Tap the "Change preferences" icon Tap the Arrow Icon until you reach the screen with the "Set Clock" Icon Tap how you would like the time displayed Tap done Set the correct time to display Tap Done
Its done through the Tom Tom software on your computer. Once the Tom Tom desktop is installed you choose which maps you want to have in your GPS. If there is a Europe map in there, the software will allow you to delete the map and install the correct one.
Nanarain, I found the answer to the Language problem. Tap the center of screen after turning on. Tap
the tool or wrench on the bottom center of screen which is the "change preferences prompt". Tap the
blue arrow that is to the right of the tool three times. That should bring you to the flags in the top left
corner which is the "change languages"prompt. Then you should be good to go. God Bless!. Ron M.
I had the same problem until my wife quickly figured it out.Touch the main part of the screen and then touch change preferences.Hit the forward arrow several times {4 on mine}then you will see "set clock".I'm not sure if i have a 520 ,but it is a tom-tom.
