if you are referring to the cold water on the door , then there is a solenoid valve on the bottom back left side of fridge, you will see two there , one is for ice maker and one is for water on door , most times it's a good idea to replace both of them , also there should be a filter inside fridge on bottom middle (cartridge) this should be changed monthly to maintain fresh taste and keep foreign objects out of tubes
If
your water and ice maker are not working, you may not have turned your water
valve back on. If your water valve is
turned on, try rotating your water filter further so that it completely locks
as it may not be installed all the way.
Once it is completely installed, press the "water" button for
approximately three seconds until it turns blue. If this does not solve the problem, you may
have a bad filter, here is a replacement filter that you can purchase to
install into your refrigerator: http://www.freshwatersystems.com/p-3658-swift-green-sgf-dsb30-compatible-samsung-da29-00003b-refrigerator-filter.aspx
It should be on the right hand side in the back take off the compressor cover on the back should be 8 or so 1/4 screws nutdriver type and then two more hold on the water valve. If you have a RO system hooked up to refrig you may need to change the filters on the ro or just change the filter on the refrig. those two will also cause the water to drip thru the valve allowing it to drip on the front
GSH25JSTASS -- I have a one year old ref..Same problem..Ice comes fine, no water. Changed filter..defrosted Freezer compartment. Kept the light ON for a couple of days, .used compressed air to check water tube between water disp to bottom of the freezer. Not frozen...
What could be wrong with this SMART water filter from GE!
If this is a Pure source 2 filter in the upper right hand side of fridge, Purchase an Electrolux filter bypass, P/N 241944302. This is a empty cartridge that lets water flow without water drip when filter is clogged. Fridgidaire/Electrolux made no bypass in these filters, so when clogged they leak. Plus they NEVER last more than about 30/60 days. If you use the bypass, you will need a separate filter elsewhere such as in water line under sink or behind fridge. Call me at 816-560-8545 if you need more info.
check your water filter. water preasure is important in the operation of the water valves. if the filter is ok replace the valve. water filter should be changed at least once every year.
Your house valve may not be totally closed (bad seal or something) letting a small bit of water through. Disconnect the line to the fridge completely (in the back) to be sure. That way even if the fridge solenoid valve is bad AND the house valve is bad you won't get dripping. If you know the valve is good, there are times when the water filter will have air trapped in it letting the water in the line drip out slowly until it's finally empty. Pull any filters you have also.
sorry, no its not dripping from the filter, its dripping from the actual water outlet on the fridge?
