Only has AM but could be a number of things.First, turn radio on,make sure its on CB not PA,turn squelch all the way to the left and RF gain all the way to the right. You should at least hear something by now. If not look on the front of radio and see if any lights are lit.If the tx light and the awi light are lit its because you have a bad match on your radio.Make sure your antenna is grounded so your signal can be picked up. take a piece of wire and touch the antenna bracket and a ground at the same time. You should hear something. this is as far as you can go without more knowledge of the radio.

if the red ant light comes on this means that you have antenna trouble either in the antenna itself or the coax but this should not have anything to do with the radio not transmitting. it sounds to me that you have a bad audio chip or a bad power output transistor. in either case you should really take it to a cb shop and let the professionals solve your problem, good luck!!

Well, first hand ,some cobra radio,s have red some have green RX/TX lights, but are you modulating? Some green lights turn red. What is your standing Wave on the antenna,s? You need to check it and the output of the radio. To do this you need a watt or field strenth meter. Can get one at Radio Shack. Your standing Wave is ok as long as it is below a 2. That has to be done on the antenna. ..hope this helps...
