My message light doesnt turn on when i have a new message?

charge the battery. disconnect the cables and hook it back up. you should be able to turn on the ignition key to clear out message. if that doesnt work you can plug in an odb reader and clear out the codes.

In the install, UNCHECK the TRIAL PRO version, you want the freeware version. Run a FULL SCAN, DELETE ALL RESULTS, Reboot. Run a Full Scan with your Up-To-Date Anti Virus. ALSO, download freeware CCLEANER at : http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/ Use this freeware program to clean the junk from your machine. In the TOOLS section, STARTUP, disable ALL unnessary startup programs. In UNINSTALL remove ALL unnessary programs, Toolbars, they are killers on broswer speed. Open Control Panel, Internet Options, Open the Programs tab, click on Manage add-ons, in Toolbars and Extentions, disable all unnessary Toolbars, in Search Providers, remove all search providers except google, bottom left corner check both boxes.

Most of the time disabling the tapping for the touchpad solves the problem. Go to settings and disable the tapping for the touchpad, not the touchpad itself, just the tapping.

You may try this first on IE.

a. Click theTools button, and then click Internet Options.
b. In theInternet Options dialog box, click the Advanced tab.
c. Click to select theDisable script debugging (Internet Explorer) and Disable script debugging (Other) check boxes, and then click to clear theDisplay a notification about every script error check box.
d. ClickOK to close the Internet Options dialog box.

You may also flush the dns and reset winsock.

Go to run and type in cmd.
On the dialog box type in "ipconfig/flushdns"(without the quotation) and enter.
Type in as well "netsh winsock reset"(without the quotation) and enter.
Restart the computer.

The "dealer" should have scanned the vehicle for trouble codes. If the ABS light is on, the ABS module has detected a problem in the system.
If no trouble codes are present, they need to investigate why the light is on. It could be anything from a defective cluster to a failed wire.
I would take your vehicle to your local Auto Zone or Advance Auto and ask them to scan your car for trouble codes, they will do it for you free of charge, write the numbers down and respond back to me and we will see what is wrong.

First who is your service provider?
Can you connect to the internet if you directly hook your modem to your computer.
1>If so connect your Modem to your router on the colour code slot on the router which says modem
2>Connect a cable from the router to your computer
3>The lan light on the router should be turned on
4>Check wether your lan says connected . To check that click start-> control pannel -> network connections
5>If it says connected try internet explorer settings
6>If it says limited or no connectivity
Click start ->run -> cmd->ipconfig
7>It should say ip address as : 169.254.x.x.
8>If so type ipconfig/release
9>It shoul say ip address: 0.0.0.0
10>Type ipconfig/renew on command promt
12>Disable and enable lan

Most likely the firewall on you security software is causing the problem. If you know how to disable it open your security software and turn off the firewall. After updating the software, turn on the firewall again.
If you are not able to do the above steps. We will have to disable it from MSCONFIG.
Click start – Run – Type “msconfig” – Hit enter
Click on the Tab “Startup” on the top, Click “Disable All” button
Click on the Tab “Services” on the top, Put a Check on “Hide All Microsoft Service” , Click “Disable All” button
Click OK.
Restart the computer and try updating the software now. It should work. Once updated, open msconfig again and select “Normal Startup” to reset it back to the default settings again.

U must disable some stupid add-ons. Simply click :

1. START
2. all programs
3. Mozilla Firefox --> Mozilla Firefox Safe Mode
4. In the window that appears check DISABLE ALL ADD ONS and then hit the RESTART MOZILLA button

Worked for me after 2 long weeks without mozilla :)

I hope this will help. I had the same problem with the message alert light not turning off. I have phone service through the internet. I would clear messages from my base unit and alert would continue to flash. I went into my internet message center and found a few old messages there. Why they got there is beyond me, but after clearing them my alert light went out and stayed off. I disabled messages to internet inbox and now it flashes only when I get messages to my base unit until I listen or clear them. Easy fix to annoyance I've had for some time.

Do you have any firewall installed on your computer?
If so, try disabling it. If it doesnt work, keep going.

does your modem have a green light on the "internet" or "activity" status? if not, you have a problem in your modem.
