Make sure that you have the installation disk that pertains to VIsta and if not, obtain the proper software from the support site for your printer model.
Also, the link below is for DiskCheck, a free utility that will let you examine the entire installation disk; my experience with HP supplied CDs & DVDs really stinks.
In one instance, it took one original set of 8 and two additional new sets to gain one set of 8 readable disks.

By using refilled cartridges you will always have this problem. Each cartridge has a chip that lets the printer know when it is full or empty. By pressing the ok button you may be able to clear this message. However, most of the time you can still be able to print and ignore the message.
