HPD4260 unable to check ink levels via printer services

Hi there,

There are 2 ways to fix this.

First one is simple, While the printer is powered on, Disconnect the power cord from the back of printer and wait for 30 seconds and reconnect. You should find the ink level shown when you print.

Second step is is Uninstall the software from software disk re-install again.

Apart from these 2, there is no alternate way to check ink level on Deskjet printers

Regards,
Suhail

Deskjet D4260 appears to start printing but is only throwing out blank sheets

This might appear that you have the incorrect drivers installed. try updating the driver. You can usually get it from the HP website.

My hp deskjet printer d4260 is not printing when i send i print job to it

if you have updated drivers from HP, Uninstall them, and install the drivers from the original CD that came with the printer. the updated drivers from HP don't work well with Windows 7.

Hi ! When I install my HP product I get at connecting my HP print but I don`t know what to do. Please help me.

If you connect your hp printer to the computer, it should install the basic drivers available from the Internet, which hopefully will be automatic. If it doesn't install automatically, then you'll have to manually download the correct driver for the hp deskjet d4260 inkjet printer.

In most cases, the printer will be connected physically with a usb cable. One end goes to the back of the printer, and the other goes to the back of the PC.

Good luck on this.

I keep getting a fatal error during installation for the hp deskjet d4260 printer. On top of the window also reads "-error" "-wStub" "918452" . My platform is Windows Vista if that helps.

Make sure that you have the installation disk that pertains to VIsta and if not, obtain the proper software from the support site for your printer model.
Also, the link below is for DiskCheck, a free utility that will let you examine the entire installation disk; my experience with HP supplied CDs & DVDs really stinks. In one instance, it took one original set of 8 and two additional new sets to gain one set of 8 readable disks.
