You did not mention what sort of business you run
if it has commercial fridges or cool rooms , they still use power
if it was a book shop the power consumption would be about 90% less as all that would be running is the security lights and security systems
smart meters can be circumvented so get in a qualified electrician to check that power is not being stolen and then get in a lawyer

I dont know how to locate these specs for you, modern refrigerators are much more efficient for a couple of reasons. Most new units have a Computer that controls the defrost cycle whereas older units have timers that defrost every 8 hours of on comp run time regardless of whether it needs defrosting. The new ADC (adaptive defrost control) can better monitor the frost on the coils to defrost less (in the defrost cycle it consumes 5x as many watts as when its cooling. Also most new refrigs, especially new GE units have much more efficient fan motors now also, however they too are computer controlled and when they fail they are expensive. Also the very high end new Counter depth models (in the $2500+ range) have a new variable speed compressor. This gives the compressor the ability to run at a low, med, and high speed, reducing even more the watts that will be drawn in normal operation when the fan motors are on low and the compressor too. If you have any other questions let me know ill be glad to advise.
P.S. Buy an extended warranty with any new appliance you purchase! Trust me!

Hello Laura,
If you look at the rear wall inside the freezer compartment down low and find a bunch of frost on that wall, you have an automatic defrost system failure. The most likely part that has failed is the defrost thermostat. It is located on the top of the freezer coil, clipped onto a piece of tubing. It will have 2 wires coming out of it and it is about the diameter of a quarter and about 3/4" tall. To test this part you would need a test meter and enough skill to check if the contacts are closed when the thermostat is frozen withing the specifications stated on the thermostat. I believe yours would close at 25 degrees F and opens at 47 degrees F. Part # 5303918214
I hope this helps you. supertechks
SOURCE: Tripping the electrical Breaker
I have used the charbroil bullet electric H2O smokers for years (wore 2 out - currently on my 3rd). I won't use anything else (having used many, many others - HOWEVER - as with every product made there are things to watch or overcome. Learn to use it properly and look forward to many years of great BBQ.
Ambient (outside) air temp below 70 (depending on wind also) will affect these smokers drastically - highly recomend getting or making a "smoker blanket" (got mine at cabelas years back - if you can't find one welding blankets from an industrial supply store can be made into one) to insulate the sides - this drastically reduces heat loss and reduces the electrical load.
Another MAJOR mistake many people make is extension cords - avoid the use of them at all if possible - if not possible then purchase the heaviest gauge you can find.
Always pre-heat your smoker - Always use boiling water (or other liquid) in the H2O pan added after smoker is pre-heated - Always minimize opening the smoker once cooking has begun.
The heater element can be cleaned when cold with a very mild detergent and room temp water.
If you have the large 2 rack but are only smoking enough to use a small amount of rack space on only one rack remember that you are heating a whole lot of air - i have a couple (different size) wood boxes wrapped in foil to take up excess air space - this means less air volume to be heated and better heat control - DO NOT use cardboard boxes or other low temp combustable items in the box construction!
Make sure the house outlet you are plugging into is a 3-prong GROUNDED outlet on a 20 amp breaker.
Finally, make sure your smoker is level and remember there can be up to a 20 degree cooking temp swing in temp between the bottom rack and top rack (top rack 5-20 degrees hotter than bottom).
The heater element will cycle on and off during normal use.
Good smoking and enjoy.

your energy consumption will be the exact same the capacitior does nothing to alter your systems operation. a capacitior is a voltage absorbing unit that provides ample power for a mechanical device when it starts. the only way to lower your energy consumption from the largest appliance in your home is to buy a more efficent one with a high SEER or EER rating.
