In power supply check capacitors ,one of them is leake or dry.Best way of detecting this cap is to have freez it (coolant) to sprey on the sections in power supply and thanindividual capacitors this will definately solve your problem.

Most of the ones that plug in are fairly generic. Try to look at say MCM Electronics who has an extensive online catalog to see if they have the cord you need.
THis sounds like a problem with your power pack. Try a different power pack and also try plugging it into a different wall socket, preferrably in a different room
Make sure that the fuse or the relay of the supply unit is intact and in working condition. If not that there is some trouble in the power supply unit.
Ok what is the model number of your HP? Pavilion? Get back to me with model number in the meantime, unplug a/c adapter and then remove battery...then hold in power button for 30 seconds and then plug in the a;/c adapter with no battery in it yet. Turn it on and see if that brings it back..if not get me you model for HP
There is a smt located at 7404 [C-6 Bottom] A common problem, does the tv make a sound like it wants to come on? Location 3239 should be small resistor, 3414 another resistor and a driver transformer at 5402 if it looks burned. See MCM electronics website and see if there is a kit to repair this. Or ask for part #s as per location of problem area mentioned. What you will be doing is changing the timing so all the components will come on at the same time. If this is done correctly you will notice the top of tv screen will flash red, green and blue lines. This will be the new norm each time you turn it on. But it will be OK. This is what the flashing green light is telling you. signed the Green Lantern7!!!!!!!
Recovery
Mode for Philips' GoGear Open
the Philips Device Manager (Start à
All Programs à Philips Digital
Audio Player à SAXXX à Philips Device Manager) and
click on the “Repair” tab. Then click on
the “Repair” button to start the repair process. Most of the time, when your player is in that
state, the Device Manager will not recognize that your GoGear is plugged
in.If this is the case: Disconnect the
player from the PC, and make sure the mp3 player is turned off. Hold in the
volume + button on the mp3 player, and reconnect the player to your pc while
holding in the volume + button. Continue holding the volume + for 10-15 seconds
until a "Found New Hardware Wizard" pops up. It should recover your
device if there isn't anything internally wrong with the player. Warning: this
procedure will result in your songs being erased off the player, so they will
have to be reloaded. -Tha Mp3 Doctor
