No sound from Bose Cinemate system

Bose® CineMate® GS Series II Digital Home Theater Speaker System code that worked for my Charter Ocap-4 (C4000 & S4000) 4-Device HDTV DVR Cable Box Remote is 31933.

You can use some smart phones if they have a remote control app. Or down load one from the play store or I tunes.

If it's blinking green it means it's on mute. Unmute it and you should have solid green. It doesn't turn red.

Mostly it'll work if it's Same CineMate Series. Other Models like Bose Companion won't work.

OK, so your Bose remote is set up for your TV. That's good. You still have to connect some kind of audio output from the TV and connect it to one of the inputs on the Bose. Usually made from interference of some sort. Make sure that all wire connecting from both the input on the receiver and the output devices are properly secured and have no rips or tears in them. Also make sure there is nothing close the receivers with a powerful magnet (big subwoofers, powerful speakers, computers, etc) those can also cause interference. Hopefully this helps.

You can use anything electrical with a step-up transformer of sufficient wattage.

That would depend on the unnamed receiver.

Most receivers have standard analog stereo outputs labeled Tape Out or something similar. You can use them as sources for stereo analog material but their outputs are not variable or under any receiver sound controls so the Bose volume will need to be adjusted. If using a Tape Output, do not select the output for listening on the receiver. THAT would disconnect the other source you're listening to.

If your receiver has a Pre-Out for the desired channels, they ARE under internal sound controls so you could set and forget the Bose volume.
