Convergence just i want to know if i can fix the convergence for hitachi tv with universal remote control and how to save when i finish

No, but almost any hitachi remote will do that--problem is on different remotes different buttons do different things in the digital convergence mode.

you can always buy a cheap universal remote and fix it that way.On most tvs you can access any menu features by hitting the channel up and down buttons or volume up and down buttons at the same time on most tvs its you have to hit the channel up and down buttons at the same exact time and the tv menu should pop up on screen.Hope this helps GOOD LUCK!!!!

Ur universal remote was able to move - + from the convergence grid wright,it is a good remote.The tv convergence board is dead.The tv convergence board the 2 STK convergence ICS and some or all of it resistors are dead too.These parts must be replaced on the tv convergence board to solved the tv pictures convergence problems.The shop,will cost u like $300-350 for parts and labors.

You have to have the Hitachi remote to do this:
CLU-5713TS1 is the updated part number. With a working remote there are two ways---one in the customer menu and another in the Tech menu.

i lost my mannual to my philips universal remote and i need to program it to my hitachy vcr,sharp tv. and my dvd

From what i can find, you need to adjust the convergence of the individual projectors. One person said you need to adjust them once a month for optimal conditions, but also said once a year will suffice. I have an extra blue image, and although i was able to clean i dont know how many years of grime off the lenses and the mirror, i lack a remote that will operate the menu. I only have one universal remote by RCA that will operate the channels and volume, but not the input (im using S video input) nor the menu functions. You may have to buy a Hitachi remote (1-800-Remotes wants $40 for it), but i will try to get a better universal one and will post back if i have success.

Solution:
Your TV has a convergence problem. Here are some of the most common symptoms.

Screen looks 3D
One or more colors can't be adjusted when using the convergence menu.
Screen is bowed in but stationary.
Here is a quick test....
Using your original remote go-to the tv settings then goto the convergence or magic focus section
Try to adjust the red and then the blue convergence.
You should be able to move them up, down, left, and right.
If you can't move them in all directions your convergence chips are bad and should be replaced. This is a common problem.
You can get a repair kit that includes all the parts from www.TvRepairKits.com.
They have put together a kit for the Hitachi TV sets.
The kit includes a photo instruction guide, original Sanyo STK chips, convergence resistors, etc.
Everything you need to fix it yourself. Its a fairly easy fix on the Hitachi sets.
