Their are now drivers for your device and windows 7 and I do not think they will make any.
You will have to find a printer that supports 7

this is becoming such a huge issue for many people with vista, the manufacturers just couldnt put out drivers fast enough, many only current to xp. Here is link that may help, http://tech.epson.com.au/downloads/product.asp
I regret to inform you that there are no Vista drivers for your Lexmark X84/85 printer. If you are a citizen of USA then you can call Lexmark Technical Support for a 20% discount on a new Lexmark printer.
could you try another cable, maybe the cable is the problem. If not, test the port if it detects other devices. If not disconnect the printer and install first the driver and then when it asks for the printer, hook it up.
download the driver, run the set up
nothing happens, in the files it only appears lexmark solution center and and the uninstall
