Should you dial 9 or another access code for outside calls?

If if you dial an "outside" number on an intercom line it will look at the first 2-3 digits as another extension. You need to dial the Central Office access code, or use a line key assigned to an outside line.

please call the engineer from which you have purchased the EPBAX system to congiure the same. It happens if something is wrong in line card at the exchange or the extentions are not configured properly with the Key Telephone System.

I'm pretty sure CID is automatic on a CICS....IF you have a CID trunk card. You might want to post the part number on the face of the trunk and we'll see if it's the proper one.

SOURCE: Using intercom on Lucent partner phones

A Partner is a pretty simple system and the phones are probably all in a single calling group. Your extensions are numbered from 10 to whatever, so at the least you can grab a phone, press the intercom button and dial 0 or 10. It will ring the main phone.

From there, you can start dialing 11,12,13 etc and build your directory. IIRC pressing * in front of the number turns it into a handsfree call. Now, here's where you get to see what kind of installation you have :-) Press intercom and dial *71. With luck, every idle phone will have paging. (71 will ring every phone btw).
This does require programming and an extension can be either in or out of a group.

I do have a basic Partner ACS manual on my website. http://www.public.carl.airpost.net/Partner_ACS.pdf

The display phone users manual in in the document. Page 179 starts chapter 6, a 30 page guide to the phones.

SOURCE: Nortel M7310 Phone moved to another jack, now no incoming calls

The reason your phones config is not the same as before is because configuration goes by what extension it is. So if you plug your phone in somewhere else, unless you have DN's configured, your extension changes, so say it was extension 21, but now that you moved it, its now 23, those settings remain on extention 21, so if you bought another phone and plugged it into were extention 21 is, it would have the settings that your old phone had before

To access the intercom by just picking up the handset, Press Feature **CONFIG (266344), Select <A. Configuration>, then go to <2. Line Access>, Select that and enter the extension of the phone you want to have access intercom by just picking up the handset. Scroll until you see <Intercom Keys: #,> make sure you have at least one intercom key. Then scroll until you see <Prime Line: #>, Press change until the display reads <Prime Line:I/C>  And there you go. Hope i didn't confuse you

Says line is in use but that is not the case

Even if you have tried a power off reset, as in the posted link, it could be a timing thing to reset, sometimes a component has to discharge.

Following the links advice, try increasing amounts of time. What length is reasonable if it does not reset in minutes? Don't see that posted anywhere, maybe our, or overnight.

My landline is not working, will receive only incoming call. but not able to answer it, it just keep on ringing.

Hello, Grace -

There is no information in your question indicating the name of your land line telephone provider and where (what country) you reside.

Fixya.com receives questions from people worldwide.

Since your land line is not working properly and you may not have a cell phone, then you will need to seek out a neighbor and as to use their phone (cell phone or land line) to contact the emergency repair services of your land line phone provider (wherever you are located.)

Since you have internet service, you can look up the emergency repair service number for you land line provider.

Best wishes.

Overcharged on mobile 0407 433 511 on the 14 Mar as my landline being out ,al landline calls were redirected to my mobile as advised by Telstra. I have not been charged at landline rates.

if you have a package then land line and mobile charges are included in the package and are not separated
There is a package the Telstra sell that is for 2 land lines , net connection, land line hire and 25 gig of data for around $120.00 a month and all calls local, national and international are free except for 1300 numbers
however if the land line is inoperative you are entitled to a refund on that rent cost for the period it is not available and if incoming calls are redirected to your mobile , that cost is on the caller
ring accounts and make your point or contact the ombudsman and make a complaint or shift service provider

Can I convert a land line service alarm system to call alarm to a cell phone

Sure you can ! It is similar to getting your land line calls diverted to your mobile phone if they are not answered within a set time , business people use this method constantly , probably a APP will be needed to be installed etc but its pretty straight forward

I want to get 2 phones,1to connect to landline, and 1 by my bed.

this can be overcome by either running a piggy back connection at the input point of the land line and running the extension wire to the other phone
or
by buying a cordless phone set ( 2 phones ) and placing the base set at the point where the existing phone is and the other cordless phone in the room
the base phone set connects to the land line and the second phone is by wireless transmission to that base set
all you will need is a power supply for the second phone as it has a charger as a stand for the phone

this issue is likely with the uverse equipment. try to unplug your gateway (the modem) and plug it back in. if that doesn't work then call the uverse tech support. They are open 24 hours a day.
