Probably not. If its plastic, Glue together with super glue to hold it and then run a hot solder iron across the back of join to reseal the joint.

Testimonial: "super glue worked for about 5 pushes"

SOURCE: water dispenser lever on Frigidaire

My Frigidaire side by side is a little different from tech17's solution. It has no slots for a screwdriver to pry it off. It is a model FLSC23F6D55 manufactured 3/05. There is a semicircular spill tray in the bottom of the recessed water station. Just pry out the tray, from the bottom corner of the frame from the side and or bottom. (I did this with a knife blade.) This tray is a snap-in fit. Then you will see three phillips head screws in the bottom of the frame. Take out these three screws and remove the frame by lifting up on it and pulling out at the bottom. Then take out three more phillips mounting screws to remove the processor card and key pad. You will then see the top of the water lever mounting. The lever comes out by removing two more screws that hold the pivot shaft of the lever. (These last screws are a little more diffiucult to get to, but not anywhere near impossible.) I wish you well.

SOURCE: Fridge Makes Cubes But No Water

Get part number WR49X10173 from Consumer Relations (800-386-1215. (Free; be sure they understand how long you have had to deal with this issue) ($38+ if you buy part on line)

The part includes instructions to install, but not how to remove the control panel. Here's how: Look from below the panel to observe 3 holes (aprox. 1/8" dia) located in a long narrow depression. Observe that there is the edged of a plactic tab visible partly covering each hole. Use a pointed tool such as a shish-kabob skewer to carefully probe the hole at the right or left end, and carefully pull the control panel forward on the side with the hole you are probing. This will help release the tab, allowing the panel to come off. Repeat for the opposite side.

The instructions with the part take over from here. The part is a loop of wire that provides a bit of heat to keep the area warm, and is held in place by some aluminum tape, then spliced into the red and the black/white wires on the 6-wire harness on the left side of the control. BE SURE the power is OFF!!!!

My Samsung Model: RF4287HARS refrigerator stopped DISPENSING ice. It makes it, but only water comes out of both push levers now. I get ZERO help from samsung customer service. There is nothing in

The problem is actually in the dispenser lever. The paddle that you press to dispense ice has a plastic lever/arm that extends behind it (you can't see it, it's up high in the assembly.) This plastic lever presses upwards when you push the paddle and presses into a switch. The switch actuates the ice. This little lever is also the ONLY thing that stops the paddle from continuing to press into the water paddle. So when the lever breaks, it creates your two symptoms - no ice and if you press further, you press the water switch and get water.

You need part# DA97-08519A. This is the lever assembly with the switches. You pry the control panel assembly (the whole digital display above the water/ice dispenser) out by inserting a slim pry bar (I used a pocket knife and didn't damage the finish) on one side and working my way around. The assembly is held in place by five plastic tabs (two on each side and one on the top.) When this is removed, the part# above will be obvious.

How to remove water filter paddle for ge fridge

From the looks of the illustration you'll have to first pop the trim off from around the dispenser area using a small flat head screw driver. Once that is done remove the control panel, which is sometimes held there in place with a screw from bottom area of the board. Lift the board out of the retainer that holds it in place and you disconnect any wiring to remove it completely. Once that is out of the way you should have access to the paddle to replace it. Be sure that the machine is unplugged when you start, don't want to get shocked

Electrolux EW28BS71IS French Door Fridge no water and no ice

First check that you have good water pressure to the water valve. If you do, then the problem is in your refrigerator. And the most likely fault is the solenoid controled water valve which is a one in two out valve. Follow the water line from you house input and the first place it connects is that valve.

I have a Frigidaire model number PLHS67EESB9 side by side refrigerator. About 4 months, I has the water dispenser paddle replaced by a trained technician. Recently, the when the freezer door was opened...

Start by looking at the circuit boards for any sign of cracks or a trace coming off the board. Also, check all the ribbon wires for any signs of a break, corrosion, and so on. As soon as my database comes back online I will look to see if I have a service manual for that unit and any test procedures that you may do. Also, look at the door switch for any shorts or wire breakage. Post back any results to me.
