Electrolux EW28BS71IS French Door Fridge no water and no ice

OUr Electrolux EW28BS71IS fridge has suddenly stopped making ice and will not dispense water. I thought maybe the in fridge PURE water filter was blocked so I changed it. The filter fills with water when you press the dispenser lever but thats as far as the water seems to go. The filter build up enough pressure after that it pops out when you press it's release button. The ice maker has been replaced 3 times under warranty for not making ice or making wet ice but this is the first time there is no water.

First check that you have good water pressure to the water valve. If you do, then the problem is in your refrigerator. And the most likely fault is the solenoid controled water valve which is a one in two out valve. Follow the water line from you house input and the first place it connects is that valve.

Thanks I will check it out when I get home tonight.

Obviously I'm not in front of the fridge but the water line goes through a common water filter then splits somewhere between that and the ice make/ door dispenser. I don't believe it splits at the input on the back of the fridge.

Thinking it's may be a frozen line but I don't know how to take apart the the fridge to find they line or water tank (if it has a water tank)

The schematics for your unit is not very good, so I had to give you the generic answer. If it doesn't have a standard valve, because of the built in water filter, then the enclosure for the water filter is also the solenoid controled valve.

Completely understand and appreciate taking the time to answer. You lead me to look on the sears parts website and I found the water valve is part of the ice maker assembly. I will take off the cover and check it out. Thanks.....

SOURCE: Front ice/water dispenser stopped working.

I had the same problem. Turned out to be a microswitch under the lever used to activate it. The microswitch fell from the original position so it wasn't turning on anything. I tried gluing into position but the fumes from the crazy glue messed up the switch and I had to replace the whole rig.
The part is under the control display. You can pry it open from the left side.

Jenn air french door water dispenser broken

You have two sides to your 67006531 Dual Water Inlet Valve, so it is very possible the side that controls the water flow for the dispenser is defective. Replace the 67006531 Dual Water Control Valve and I believe your fridge water will work fine.

Ice maker not working

my icemaker has a wire overfill sensor which shuts off the icemaker if there is too much ice in the basket. If this wire gets pushed up it will stop making ice until level lowers OR manually lowered.

Internal water dispenser stopped working

I lowered the temp on the freezer to 4 overnight, by morning water dispenser is working fine. I think that when we changed the temp to 7 (in order to make more ice ) it froze the water pipe going to the dispenser. I am going to keep both fridge and freezer at 5 ,and hope this will not happen again.
