Common inputs are coaxial type (red/white). Try Coaxial to headphone jack cable, connect phone jack to your digital player and the coaxial to stereo. And set your Stereo System to AUX mode or video mode.
You must have a aux input on the RCA. Get a patch cord from radio shack that will patch your ipod to the RCA. They will help you if needed. If you need order online Radio Shack is an authorized dealer of ipod. You can call and ask Questions 1800 843 7422

HI Turn the stereo OFF and then press and hold Funtion button until you see the menu use the arrows to go to the next you´ll find the aux mode there Must be OFF just turn it ON.
The stereo is not designed to interface with ipods through the usb. It will play by connecting your ipod's headphone output to the aux in jack on the face.A cable is supplied for this but i found mine to be noisy. A different cable worked fine.
Try putting the unit in standby via the "SRC" button FIRST..., then press the menu button and cycle through to the "AUX 1" option and activate this....then press menu button again. When the unit is next switched on, you should have an "AUX" option accessible via the "SRC" button which will cycle through all of the availale modes ....standby-tuner-cd-aux etc etc.
