If you cannot adjust this in your video menu then you will need to get what is called a scan converter. Your tv is most likely unable to process HD signal properly. A scan converter will take the HD signal and convert it to what you tv can display.

Picture too big for screen; cutting off top of heads and bottom of screen

Go to the picture setup of your settings menu.
Somewhere in there are options for selecting picture size.
The options will be similar to: Normal, Wide, Zoom, Stretch
You have probably selected Zoom, try Normal.

Picture Is Too Big for Screen

Sounds like your cable box is zoomed in, I run into this a lot when running service calls. On most cable provider's remotes there is an 'aspect' button next to or around the '0'. Try that and see if it helps you out at all :)

Picture is too big for screen

You will have a button on the _original_ remote that says Format, Aspect Ratio, Zoom, Size or just AR. It will cycle through Normal, Stretch, Partial Zoom, Zoom, Gray Bar, or the like. You are not in Normal but in one of the Zooms. Stretch is used to make 4x3 movies fill a 16x9 screen, may not be desirable. Zoom is used to fill the 16x9 screen with movies that have been letter boxed. Gray Bar fills the sides of a 4x3 picture on a 16x9 set with gray to "avoid" burn in. Use normal except zoom on LB. -Ken

there may not be a zoom option but there should be a ratio setting i.e 16x9,4.3 letter box i had that problem and found it in my display settings my screen resolution was changed to 16x9 zoom
