Replaced lamp, still having picture problems.

We have a Samsung HLP4663W and started having trouble, picture went out and timer, lamp, and standby lights coming on. Lights may all 3 be on or only 1 at a time. Changed bulb, TV came on and seemed to work, but lamp light still showing. Then after a few minutes I noticed the color and picture quality really bad on right side of screen.Turned TV off and back on a few minutes later. Seemed ok, other than it took a while for the screen to be bright. Later that evening, turned TV on and after about 2 min the screen went black and the timer light started flashing. The only way to turn off was to unplug. Still taking awhile for brightness. Any ideas?

Take it to an authorized samsung service center, your color wheel may be broken or your dmd maybe damage.

Resetting lamp timer for samsung HLP4663W

If you do not have owner manual Google the model number with "manual" to get it.

You can also Google the model for "lamp timer reset", These sets I have worked on but never needed to reset the timer.

No picture on a Samsung HL-P4663W, trouble lights confusing...

The most common blink code for the Standby/Temp LED is the Temp Sensor and or Actuator Board. You can confirm which on by jumping the CN106 connector on the Actuator board. If the set works now, the Temp Sensor must be replaced. If it doesn't work, the Actuator Board would need to be replaced. If you are not familiar with the chassis or electronics at all , I do not recommend trying to fix it, call a professional. Don't take the chance of damaging it further.
I hope this helps,

Picture blinks out and in

If you haven't replaced the lamp recently, its the likely cause. If the lamp is known to be good, its possible that the ballast board (lamp driver/power supply) is defective. And, in some cases, the lamp door interlock switch may be the culprit. So make sure that the lamp door is properly aligned so the switch engages properly.

No picture

Please check the manual for error index(lamp blink).
It seems related thermostat or power board.

Samsung 46" DLP

Did you order an ORIGINAL REPLACEMENT LAMP? There's lots of guys out there claiming to sell original lamps but there really not the original. For Samsung TVs (The majority of them) use Philips branded lamps. Check and make sure you lamp is a Philips lamp. Check out FixYourDLP blog for more information as there's lots o interesting reading there
