Question about Samsung DLP HL-P4663W 46" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television
TV has no picture but does have sound until all three lights start to flash and then the set turns off. Purchased a new lamp ($131.00) and that did not change anything? according to the book when the TIMER, LAMP, and STAND BY lights flash it is most likely a defective lamp. What else could be wrong? HELP!
Did you order an ORIGINAL REPLACEMENT LAMP? There's lots of guys out there claiming to sell original lamps but there really not the original. For Samsung TVs (The majority of them) use Philips branded lamps. Check and make sure you lamp is a Philips lamp. Check out FixYourDLP blog for more information as there's lots o interesting reading there

The lamp drive Circuit. There is a Ballast that could be bad. The ballast is located here: http://www.samsungparts.com/part_detail.asp?catalog%5Fname=Parts+and+Accessories&product%5Fid=BP96-00690A&search%5Fmodel=HLP4663W Or the DMD board located here:http://www.samsungparts.com/part_detail.asp?catalog%5Fname=Parts+and+Accessories&product%5Fid=BP96%2D00678B&search%5Fmodel=HLP4663W Or the power board located Here:http://www.samsungparts.com/part_detail.asp?catalog%5Fname=Parts+and+Accessories&product%5Fid=BP94%2D02141A&search%5Fmodel=HLP4663W Good Luck

had the same problem after 2 years. changed the bulb which lfixed the problem for 4 months Now have the same problem again. Bulbs should last longer or there's some other issue .
after 2 years replaced the bulb. 4 months later have a similar problem but a new bulb doesnt fix the problem. A new balast also does not fix the problem. Now waiting in a DMD board. The cost to fix is starting to mount. I would not recommed SAMSUNG to anyone.
I get a green light flashing for "lamp" a green light for Timer but the TV does not come on
