I've had my Sansa for several months now and it has given me absolutely no problems until today. Out of the blue there was static and the quality and volume of the song dropped. I tried messing around with the plug in for my earbuds, and when it moved it to a certain position and so forth, then the audio would repair, but only if the plug remained un-touched. I've tried another pair of earbuds and I find that the problem still remains.

Try a diffrent pair of headphones, if there is a short in your headphone cord and would definatly cause this, or hook it up to a stereo or FM transmiter, if it's still staticy hooked up to a stereo then you may have a problem with the unit itself. Good Luck

I just bought it and tested on a channel and eliminator code and it worked fine. But after a while I cannot hear static when holding "mon" and cannot hear the other radio if I talk into one. This happens...

If the radios are working fine otherwise, don't worry about the monitor feature not creating white noise (static). If you are still having a problem with the radios, try setting the interference eliminator code to off (zero). And turn off any other special features to see if you can regain communications. Then slowly add the features back in as you need them. All radios must be identical in freq., code, and features.

Best regards.

Speaker produces noice/static/buzzing sound when it is off

That means that if too much power is going to the speaker or extraneous signals are being picked up by the wiring, it can come through the speakers as static. Stopping static requires finding and eliminating that extra electricity from transmitting through your speakers.
If you're still hearing distortion, turn down the volume on your amplifier until the distortion goes away. If the volume is too low to be easily heard, the problem may be that your amplifier produces too much power for your speakers to handle or that your amp and speakers have different impedance ratings.

Can not get static out of radio i have a cobra 29 with weather channel the squ knob seem 2 b not working sometimes can u help me

Turn the squelch down, and the RF gain all the way up.

You need to realize that some times, there is not a lot of noise out there. Right now lately there has been due to skip. But it does die down. When you hear a lot of noise for a while, then it goes away, it messes with your head. You don't hear anything, but that's because its quite out. I would test it by talking to some one on the radio. If you can hear them just fine even though you don't hear a lot of static, then its just quiet out.

My pioneer deh-p5500mp Car Radio

hmm.. thats a nice radio, not too shaby heheh...

Well your car radio should have a Blue wire with a white stripe for the remote, in case you are interested in the user manual (wich im guessing you dont have)

Go to:
http://www.nodevice.com/user_manual/pioneer/car_audio/deh-p5500mp.html

it has a diagram of the harness and it shows a blue/white remote wire, so im guessing that you bought it used and probably got a different harness with your car radio... but then again thats too weird

you could do a check to see if thats really the problem... just feed 12V From the power terminal of your amp to the remote terminal, that should turn your amp on and you should be able to listen to your car radio's output (id suggest not setting the volume all the way up when doing this XD)

Hope it helps

My 2002 honda accord SE coupe has started to have static whenever I play any kind of music. The static is directly related to the bass. The more base, the more static. If you play hip hop or techno music,...

you need to install a filter on the power leads of the radio and the amp.  The filter in your electrical system have gone bad and your alternator is generating noise.  Have you recently done anything on the cars electrical system such as spark plugs or wires?

Motorola FV500 2 way radio can send/cant receive

Do you hear the Beeps on the speaker? Check for the QT and the code squelch are the same in both radios, try to set code squelch in "0". Make sure that the radio is not receiving or the other one is not transmiting, with two radios will see the same.
