SOURCE: sony handycam DCR-HC18E tape stuck won't come out

Unfortunately this is a problem only fixed with an expert repair man. Camcorders are just to complex to try getting a tape out.

SOURCE: Sony Handycam Dig 8 doesn't recognize tape when trying to record

If it has memory stick, Make sure your memory stick is in. Your memory stick is full. Delete the unwanted pictures from the memory stick or use a differnt biger memory stick.

I looked in the manual. It seems your camcorder does not have a slot for memory stick. But you may still save pictures on the tape. Here is the link to download the manual

Please read Page 40 "recording picture on the tape".

GOOD LUCK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The tape ejector is stuck up with the door closed and the tape is stuck in it and I cant get it to move down or open. What is the problem ? When I try too I get a beeping and blinking with C:32:21 on it....

Hello... The way I can get a tape unjammed on my Sony camera2.gif is to remove the battery, plug the camera into the AC charger that is plugged into the wall outlet. Then power the camera on, wait a few seconds. Then unplug the charger from the outlet, wait a few more seconds (camera still in "on" position) and then plug it back in. I have used this method at least 3 times to get the camera to release the tape and finally eject. However, the tape is usually pulled out or stretched and I use a small flat head screwdriver to wind the tape back in, but expect that portion of the video to be ruined and I don't recommend using the tape in the camera again even if you manually wind it forward past the problem area.
Hope this helps!

I would like to convert a VHS tape to DVD. I have (1) the Sony Handycam Digital 8 DCR TRV310, (2) Panasonic VCR, and (3) Macbook Pro with iMovie. I don't know much about the digital camera's ability to...

I think you are expecting camera to covert VCR analog video-audio signal into digital so it can be record in Macbook?

Camcorder will not do this job and you need to hookup VCR with DVD Recorder to burn DVD of VHS tape.

Black and white playback with sony handycam dcr-hc20

There is no problem on your camera, DCR-HC19E is PAL system(European system) DCR-HC20 is NTSC(American system). Are you in US or Europe? I think your TV is NTSC, cause the tape recorded on DCR-HC19E you played has no color. To confirm, connect your HC20 to TV in camera mode, not recording yet, just look at the TV as your monitor, If its in color, no problem, just erase the old video recorded on the HC19E, but if its important to you, you can convert it to NTSC using a PC. thanks

Purchased Sony Handycam DCR-TRV310 in California - where to go for UK support?

check on ebay for a back - up camera ( that model has a good history ) and / or get an estimate on yours , for a price comparison ; if the main board has failed ( corrosion , etc ) repairs will likely exceed replacement cost ;
