I loose connection when I try to connect to the EA server...

I have a Linksys wireless router witch also has 4 Ethernet ports. Through that I connected my PS2 to the internet to try and play a few games online on the EA sever. I set up my connection settings on my PS2 ad test the connection settings and they come out good. So everything is good up until I get to the option of creating a new EA account or using an existing one. I tried both and both options give me the same result. It stays on (Connecting to EA Server....) then after a bit it gives me the message. That reads as follows. (You have lost your connection to the ISP. Please make sure that your network adaptor and network cable are plugged in. You will be returned to the main menue.) Please let me know if you have a solution...Thank you for your time

I am through which port do i connect the router linksys E900 to my laptop?

It's a wireless router, so you may not need to use a port at all.

You can connect to any of the ports numbered 1 through 4. The yellow Internet port should connect to your outside network. (Cable modem or router or Ethernet port from your Internet service provider.)

Linksys wireless prnt server

Hi,

Based on your post description, I am assuming that:
1. You can connect to the Internet through your 2241 Neptoia modem;
2. You can access your WRT54G V8 Linksys Wireless router @ 192.168.1.1;
3. Both 1 & 2 above could be done through a wireless connection from your PC.

Connect everything as they are supposed to be wired (printer, Print Server, modem, router etc)

Pls try:
a. Connect the Linksys wireless print server using a lan cable to the Linksys WRT54G Wireless AP/router. (Will tackle the wireless connection a bit later)
b. Reset your print server; &
c. Do a diagnostic print-out.
Instructions for b & c are in page 4 of your manual.

You need to verify that:
i. the Power indicator is contnously green
ii. the Ethernet indicator is contnously green
iii. the USB indicator is contnously green
iv. the Wireless indicator may or may not be contnously green

Pls post back with the generated diagnostic print-out before we can proceed with the other steps.

Additionally, try installing the Epson Stylus Photo RX600 direct to one of the USB ports of your PC. Use the installer/driver CD that came with it. Try using it as a regular printer. This will tell us status of the printer.

Good luck and kind regards.

Why is my Linksys EA 6500 displaying "SSL Connection ERR"?

It is probably not the router but your OS.
Try and run a SSL Fix program to correct the OS.

How do the cables connect? Which cable goes where?

Step 1:
Connect the broadband modem to the router's WAN or Internet port.
Step 2:
Connect the computer to any available numbered port (1, 2, 3 or 4).
NOTE: In this example, we'll connect the computer to port number 3.

NOTE: It is advisable to connect the computer to one of the Ethernet (1, 2, 3 or 4) ports when setting up the router for the first time. If you have successfully configured the router using a wireless computer, unplug the Ethernet cable which connects the computer to the router for you to have wireless Internet connection. For instructions on how to connect the wireless computer to go online using the Linksys router, click here.

Step 3:
Make sure the power adapter is plugged in to an available power outlet.

I have a printer attached via USB to a wi-fi connected desktop in a WGR614g network which supports an additional ethernet-connected desktop and two wi-fi laptops. Can I make the printer wi-fi accessible...

Do a search engine hunt for a "WIRELESS PRINT SERVER" and you'll bring up a Netgear WGPS606 for about $60-80 or a Linksys for $36-150 (the same one :-)).

The Netgear has 2 USB A ports and 4 ethernet ports. You plug in your printer, activate the wireless part to receive a signal and you have a networked USB printer.

I assume the Linksys works exactly the same way, except it may not have the additonal 4-port ethernet switch.

Router cant handle two pc's connecting to same server

Try to do port forwarding. Search for the port number that the game uses and open it on the router's Setup Page using Port Forwarding.

Need to add Linksys WRT54G-TM wireless router with Linksys SPA 2102 phone adapter

your SPA2102-R seems to have one ethernet connection and one internet connection.
your WRT54G-TM seems to have one internet connection and 4 ethernet connections.

What you are trying to achive is; plug a ethernet cable into the ethernet connection on your SPA2102-R then plug the other end into the internet port of the WRT54G-TM

hope this helps, I have assumed that you intend to use a DSL broadband supplier not ADSL.

if you are changing service from DSL to ADSL then your WRT54G-TM needs to be first in line configured and working. then plug the internet port from the SPA2102-R into any of the WRT54G-TM ethernet ports.
