My DGB-550 Cuisinart Grind & Brew beeps the end signal at start

My DGB-550 Cuisinart Grind & Brew beeps the "end of cycle signal" right after grinding the coffee...water is slow and sometimes stops, brew cycle sometimes takes up to an hour + to complete...unit is less than 1-year-old...now is leaking coffee from bottom of the unit, as well.

Problem solved...I cleaned it again and took the charcoal water filter out (soaked it and then let it dry...I've since ordered more), Then ran the clean cycle, without the filter (every time I ran the clean cycle before, I'd left the filter in)...brew cycle is normal and no leaking. I wasn't around to determine when the "end of cycle" signal beeped, but that's not so much of a problem.

Hi,

Here is a link for the PDF version of the Instruction Booklet for the DGB-600BCC (from the name you provided I’m assuming this is the correct product).

If it’s not the right product, check out the Cuisinart.ca website, you can select the product you are looking for and download the instruction booklet from the product page.

Hope that helps!

Replacement time. a certain percentage of thse have this problem. There is a small, non-replaceable tube in the inside toward the bottom that has become melted/damaged.

SOURCE: Leaking cuisinart grind and brew

Our Cuisinart grind and brew was leaving a puddle under it after making a pot of coffee. I called Cuisinart this week and it turns out the handle of the carafe has to be lined up in the middle of the opening for the carafe. It will be under the word Cuisinart, in the middle.

We have now made several pots with NO residual puddle of water or coffee. It also seems to be making the pots quicker.

Before trying this I had run 2 pots of water with 1/2 cup white vinegar in it also. But it still puddled until we lined up the carafe as noted above.

SOURCE: Cuisinart Grind and Brew will not emply all the water

The two most common reasons for overflow or underflow have to do with the carafe lid and the filter basket - they key to smooth flow with this coffee maker is making sure the filter basket and carafe lid are making the proper contact with each other so that the center knob on the carafe lid pushes slightly up on the filter basket spring. Make sure the carafe lid is completely closed. Make sure the filter basket is pushed all the way down. Make sure you are not using the gold tone filter and a paper filter at the same time. For some reason, I get better results when the handle of the carafe is resting against the right side wall. If everything is in place, I would suspect a problem with either the filter basket being clogged or some problem with the carafe lid - call Cuisinart as they should be able to order these parts for you.

My wife had the same problem. Click my YouTube link for my cleaning process which has worked every time to fix the problem. I've had to repeat the process as many as 4 or 5 times to really get it cleaned, but when its done, it works perfect.

This coffee maker (10 c maker with grinder) beeps it's done every few minutes with water left. we have to brew about 5 times for a full pot, what gives?

Presume this is the Grind & Brew Thermal™ 10-Cup Automatic Coffeemaker, Model # DGB-600BCC

An instruction booklet is available here: http://www.cuisinart.ca/pdf/ibs/en/DGB-600BCC_en.pdf

Review the sections beginning on page 11 of the pdf on Turning Off the Grind Function (if not using the grind feature) and Making Coffee.

Make sure you are turning off the grind function if using preground coffee and that the reservoir lid is securely closed.

Check the Cups Setting button; is sounds like the 1-4 feature may be turned on.

My DGB-700BC cuisinart coffee maker grinds beans but then gets stuck and will not continue brew cycle. keeps beeping. please help!!!

We bought our Cuisinart 12 cup grind n brew less than a year ago. Almost as soon as we started using it we began having problems with it hanging up between the grinding and brewing cycles. It would sit and click. I tinkered with it incessantly and usually could, after fiddling long enough with the filter lid, get it to brew, but it was aggravating, to say the least.
When one morning it would NOT work I called Cuisinart and was relieved to hear that there is apparently a problem with some of the filter lids not seating properly. They are sending us a new one. The rep I spoke with told me that if this did not work they would replace the unit, so at least it sounds like their customer service may be on the ball.
So, call Cuisinart for a replacement of your filter lid and see if that solves your problem.

Just bought a cuisinart grind & brew dgb-550 and can't get the program setting to work. Tried putting in a time and leaving it and tried pushing the program button after entering the time.

Push the program button one more time - the first push allows you to set the time, the second push stores the time you have just entered, and then you have to press it one more time to make the light next to the program button light up tell it to brew at the set time.

DGB-900 Grind and Brew grinder

One idea to try. I noticed with my grind & brew that the moisture never evaporated from the inside top of the machine. Since that cannot be good over a long term, I have started leaving the top open during the day after I clean the machine in the morning. Your problem is why I started doing that. Why don't you try leaving the top open for a couple of days and see if drying the machine out doesn't cause some of that gunk to dry out?
