It means that the machine register what's in there as too heavy.
Can't understand for the life of me why this error code isn't explained in the user guide, but that's just how it is.
To fix this, turn off the machine, make sure that you get out as much water as possible and then open the door manually by pulling the red plastic band to the right of the pump (remove lid first ofc), or you need a screwdriver or something like that on some models depending on the age of your product.
I do know that this answer comes a little too late, but browsing for answers myself, I had to dip into the old noggin of myself as a former White Goods Consultant and I figured it all out.
For future reference I therefor post it here anyway ;o)
There might be a problem in the pump, which drains the water. to confirm it, please manually release the water, by opening the bottom right port, Then try if the spinning is working. The pump approximately costs Rs. 1600/- approx. please check & confirm. Regards, Sivaraman H, Bangalore-560016. Mobile number: 9845228625
Floater switch (water leakege detector switch) detects water leakage, then draining pump is switched on for fixed time or until water indicator reports that mashine is empty depending on model
remember to unplug it from power if any repair is done
I had the same problem. My husband checked the carbon brushes attached to the motor and ran the machine on spin. The brushes were sparking so he assumed they were worn and replaced them and hey presto machine works fine now. The brushes cost 23.99 and were just bought from a local shop but can be bought online cheaper. Hope this helps solve your problem. Essex
make sure door is closed...also check water input hose and when u turn on the machine the lights are on telling you machine is ready,,,,,if this does not solve the problem call LG customer help and service
heres a screen on the inlet to the water solinoid that plugs up with calcium alot of the time. shut off the water and take the bottom panel off the unit and you will see where the solinoid is. take off the water and then take the solinoid out and apart to clean. reassemble and you will be good to go.
