  1. Lets try to reset it and if it happens again you will need a technician or to call manufacturer due to motor error
  2. Turn the dial to the off position, in some machines this is known as the rest position.
  3. Then turn the dial to the half-way point, this would be the 6 o'clock position on a traditional clock face.
  4. Then press and hold the spin button, while also moving the dial to the 7 o'clock position.
  5. Continue to hold the spin button for at least five more seconds then move the dial back to the off/ reset position.
  6. Finally turn the machine back on and the error code should be cleared.

To toggle the Child Lock on or off, press and hold the Options Down button for 5 seconds. The skeleton key symbol will appear or disappear from the LCD screen. The Options Down button is the lower button to the left of the LCD screen.

Siemens has the instruction manual/program table for the WM14S790GC on the product page: https://www.siemens-home.bsh-group.com/ae/products-list/WM14S790GC#/Tabs=tab-5341617/ . The direct link to the manual is https://media3.bsh-group.com/Documents/9000661180_A.pdf . See the section on the child lock at the bottom of page 5 (on page 1 of the PDF).

I hope this helps.

This is related to the motor, and may be that the motor needs new brushes the Tacho (feedback mechanism) is broken, wiring or the motor control board. Most likely for a 6-7 year old washing machine is the brushes.
However, after changing them, you still need to reset the machine
  1. Turn off the machine (dial to 0)
  2. Open the door
  3. Turn on the machine on first program
  4. Close the door
  5. Turn off the machine
  6. Turn on the machine on the "six-o-clock" program, which is centrifuge
  7. Press the "option down" button and keep it pressed (This is the button left of the display)
  8. Turn the dial to "seven-o-clock" (empty/pump out program)
  9. Release the "option down" button
  10. Turn of the machine
This should reset the machine, and if everything is allright, it should work. If it does not work after changing the brushes and resetting it, something else is wrong, most likely the motor control board, or if the motor.

the error is caused by a blockage in the pump you need to drain the washer using the black tube near the pump drain or by unscrewing the pump cover next to it on excel 8kg washer these are at bottom right of machine. when all water out remove pump cover that you loosened to get water out then check for blockages inside. the pump has a device inside that should move round freely remove all debris replace and try to drain using drain cycle this will finish and hey presto back to normal!!

This problem has nothing to do with water in the machine. My IQ300 regularly refuses to open on the drying cycle! You have to open the small round compartment beneath the door and pull down on the black plastic strap to the right - you may need a utensil to pry it out. What a rubbish machine.
