Sansa e250 4gb sync help....

1. First, you have songs saving in your computer.
2. You have 2 ways to put music on the Sandisk Sansa Clip:
2.1. Plug device into computer, Drag and Drop music from your computer into "Music" folder of the Sandisk Sansa Clip.
2.2. Use Windows Media Player in your computer to transfer songs to your device; Plug device to computer, open Windows Media Player, click on Sync tab, drag and drop music into "Drag items here " on the right side of the windows media player, click on Start Sync button.

You have 2 ways to transfer your songs from your computer to your sansa clip:
1. Plug sansa clip to computer, double click on "Sansa Clip ...GB", double click on "Internal Memory", you will see the file "Music", copy your songs and paste them into Music file of the device.
2. Using Windows Media Player: open windows media player, plug sansa clip into computer, click on Sync tab, select songs that you want to sync, drag and drop song selected into "Sync list" on the right side of the windows media player (you should update wmp11), then click on button Start Sync.

It looks like you have a Sansa??? if this is the case you want to go to your windows media player and sync/download your music there, it by far is the simplest way to do this. The thing that is really nice with the sansa products is that you are not stuck with a proprietary media player...ie I-tunes .... Zune... etc... when you open up windows media plug in your sansa and it should recognize the player... at the top you have your sync options... also you can highlight which songs you want drag and drop them into a playlist/synclist... when you get all the songs you want on the player go to the tab at the top that reads sync and as simple as that sync the player ... hope it helps

There are a few different ways to delete songs off your player - see especially the method involving the firmware update.
Preventive Medicine: To prevent Windows Media Player from adding all of your My Documents files to the Sansa player every time you connect the Sansa to the computer - Connect your Sansa player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "Sansa 1GB" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Set up Sync". When a window pops up, uncheck the box that says "Sync device automatically".

Slow Method, allows more control over what gets deleted: In Windows Media Player 11, the files are organized by Music, Pictures, Videos, Etc. First, you will want to plug the Sansa player into the computer. Then click the Library tab in Windows Media Player. You will most likely be in Music view. You will see two sets of folders in the left-hand side of Windows Media Player. The first set are all the files stored in your computer. The second set of folders underneath the line that says Sansa 1GB Mp3 player (I forget the exact wording) has all the files that are stored in your Sansa player. Click on the "All Songs" folder. You can individually delete all the songs that you want by left-clicking once on the song name in the middle of the Windows Media Player window, and then pressing "Delete" on your computer's keyboard. You will have to repeat this process again for images, videos, etc by clicking the little arrow next to the picture of the musical note on the upper left hand corner of Windows Media Player, and expanding the dropdown menu, and selecting "images"...then "Videos" etc.
NOTE: After plugging in your Sansa player, if you see a message that says "Connect a Device" in the Sync tab on Windows Media Player, then the cmputer is not properly recognizing your Sansa player, and you may need additional instructions from me.

There could be several issues here.

Is the computer showing the Sansa as plugged in?
Does Windows Media Player show the Sansa as plugged in, or does WMP say "Please Connect a Device"?

Are you running Windows Vista or windows Media Player 11? If so, grab the Firmware update from Sansa's website at: http://www.sandisk.com/Retail/DriverDownloads.aspx

If the player keeps freezing while plugged into the computer, you may need to Format the player in Windows Media Player 11 after performing the firmware upgrade. This will erase all of your songs off the player, so you will have to reload them. But your player will work fine after that.
