How do I edit a programme on a hdd on logik LDVR 808

Highlight the program you want to edit, press the right arrow and a menu comes up, go down and highlight segment, the program starts, either watch or fast forward to the adverts, when you get there, press, select, get to end of adverts and press select again, and forward to the next adverts and so on,
you will notice on the time bar little areas in a diffarent colour, they are the areas that are the adverts,
if you decide to dub the program the adverts will be missing on the disc,
however i have tried this and the disc plays perfectly well if played on the same machine, but when i have played the disc on another dvd player the picture is fine but there is no sound even though the disc as been finalised, not sure what that is but hope this helps you.
