SOURCE: I have a 4th Generation iPod 32gb

make sure that you have updated the kenwood to the latest software for the ipod--at kenwoods site--What cable are you using to hook up to the kenwood, hope you are not using the usb cable cause that won't work , you have to have a KCA-Ip301V ipod video cable. Here is the firmware link you need-- http://www.kenwood.com/cs/ce/mm/firmware/2010/2010c/eng.html

How can i reset pioneer vsx-516?
switch reciever into sstandby
2.while holding down the TONE button press and hols sown the standby/on button for about 3 seconds
3.when you see RESET? in the display press ENTER OK? shows in display
4.Press SETUP to confirm ok appears in display to confirm its been reset

you need to purchase the ipod cable... your ipod is connected through the usb cable which does not provide sound to the unit but everything else works

My 5th generation ipod is reading on my kenwood kvt-512 but no music is playingits been updated to firmware version 2.5
This happened to me. What worked was turning off the ipod (not stand by mode). Turn it back on and plug it in, it should work.

Cant get Audio Controls to unlock!
Put it in standby mode by pushing source. Then go to the menu and hit system setup. Select page 3 I thing and turn output from rear to sub. Now you should have control from the audio menu.
